Bounding multi-stage stochastic programs from above

The purpose of this paper is to present general approaches for bounding some multi-stage stochastic programs from above. The results are based on restricting the solution set, such that the remaining multi-stage stochastic program is easy to solve. 受压矩形截面柱在塑性阶段的缺陷敏感性分析

对加载到塑性阶段的矩形截面柱，本文研究了几何缺陷对屈曲的影响，在分析中考虑了弹性卸载的影响，求出了荷载、缺陷大小及分叉模态幅值之间的精确渐近关系式，结果表明在塑性阶段最大承载力对小缺陷非常敏感，但当缺陷大小达到某一值后，可能不存在最大载荷。

The dynamics of a two-component fluid in the presence of capillary forces

In the present paper we study the qualitative behavior ast→∞ of the solution of the Cauchy problem for a system of equations describing a dynamics of a two-component viscous fluid. The model under consideration takes into account the mutual diffusion of the fluid components as well as their capillary interaction. We describe the ω-limit set of trajectories of the dynamical system generated by the problem. It is proved that the stationary solution of the problem, is a homogeneous stationary distribution of one of the components, is asymptotically stable. Any other stationary solution is not asymptotically stable and is even unstable if there are no close stationary solutions corresponding to a smaller energy level. Study on a Cross Diffusion Parabolic System

This paper considers a kind of strongly coupled cross diffusion parabolic system,which can be usedas the multi-dimensional Lyumkis energy transport model in semiconductor science.The global existence andlarge time behavior are obtained for smooth solution to the initial boundary value problem.When the initialdata are a small perturbation of an isothermal stationary solution,the smooth solution of the problem under theinsulating boundary condition,converges to that stationary solution exponentially fast as time goes to infinity.     

Precise Asymptotics for Lévy Processes

Let {X（t）, t ≥ 0} be a Lévy process with EX（1） = 0 and EX^2（1） 〈 ∞. In this paper, we shall give two precise asymptotic theorems for {X（t）, t 〉 0}. By the way, we prove the corresponding conclusions for strictly stable processes and a general precise asymptotic proposition for sums of i.i.d. random variables.

Power expansions for the self-similar solutions of the modified Sawada-Kotera equation

The fourth-order ordinary differential equation that defines the self-similar solutions of the Kaup—Kupershmidt and Sawada—Kotera equations is studied. This equation belongs to the class of fourth-order analogues of the Painlevé equations. All the power and non-power asymptotic forms and expansions near points z = 0, z = ∞ and near an arbitrary point z = z ₀ are found by means of power geometry methods. The exponential additions to the solutions of the studied equation are also determined.
