Monadic <Emphasis Type="Italic">GMV</Emphasis>-algebras

Monadic MV-algebras are an algebraic model of the predicate calculus of the Łukasiewicz infinite valued logic in which only a single individual variable occurs. GMV-algebras are a non-commutative generalization of MV-algebras and are an algebraic counterpart of the non-commutative Łukasiewicz infinite valued logic. We introduce monadic GMV-algebras and describe their connections to certain couples of GMV-algebras and to left adjoint mappings of canonical embeddings of GMV-algebras. Furthermore, functional MGMV-algebras are studied and polyadic GMV-algebras are introduced and discussed. The first author was supported by the Council of Czech Government, MSM 6198959214.     

Nondurable K-Theory Equivalence and Bousfield Localization*

In this paper we consider what happens when Adams self maps are modified by adding certain unstable maps. The unstable maps which are added are trivial after a single suspension. We can choose the modification so that the maps are still K-theory equivalences but the loops on the map are no longer K-theory equivalences. As a corollary we note that the maps are K-theory equivalences but not v ₁-periodic equivalences. Another consequence is the behavior of the cobar spectral sequences for generalized homology theories. Tamaki shows that in certain cases a cobar-type spectral sequence for generalized homology theories is well behaved. The maps we construct give an example where despite the connectivity of the spaces the cobar spectral sequence is still poorly behaved. Finally we use our maps to construct spaces whose Bousfield class is distinct from the cofiber of the Adams map but which becomes the same after one suspension.     

Sur un théorème de Castelnuovo

We continue the study of G. Castelnuovo on the group of birational transformations of the complex plane that fix each point of a curve of genus > 1 ; we use adjoint linear system of the curve as Castelnuovo does. We prove that these groups are abelian, and that these are either finite, of order 2 or 3, or conjuguate to a subgroup of the de Jonquières group. We show also that these results do not generalise to curves of genus ≤ 1. *Partiellement soutenu par le CNPq-Brasil et la Section de Mathématiques de l'Université de Genève.     

Second-order numerical method for domain optimization problems

This paper is concerned with a second-order numerical method for shape optimization problems. The first variation and the second variation of the objective functional are derived. These variations are discretized by introducing a set of boundary-value problems in order to derive the second-order numerical method. The boundary-value problems are solved by the conventional finite-element method.The authors would like to express their thanks to Mr. T. Creep life evaluation of aluminum conductor composite core utilized in high voltage electric transmission

The creep life of aluminum conductor composite core (ACCC) utilized in high voltage electric transmission was investigated using an experimental method based on the equivalence relationship. First, the time-temperature-stress equivalence relationship was developed using the time-temperature and the time-stress equivalence relationships. Then, tensile creep experiments were conducted under different temperatures and different stress levels to obtain the strain-time curves of the ACCC. Finally, the creep strain master curve was obtained using the experimental data based on the time-temperature-stress equivalence relationship, allowing prediction of ACCC creep life. The results will play an important role in evaluation of the long-term characteristics of the ACCC for engineering applications.

有限重数的Dirichlet移位

In this paper, we show that a multiplication operator on the Dirichlet space D is unitarily equivalent to Dirichlet shift of multiplicity n ＋ 1 （n ≥ 0） if and only if its symbol is c zn＋1 for some constant c. The result is very different from the cases of both the Bergman space and the Hardy space.     

Nonextensive entropies derived from Gauss? principle

Gauss? principle in statistical mechanics is generalized for a q-exponential distribution in nonextensive statistical mechanics. It determines the associated stochastic and statistical nonextensive entropies which satisfy Greene-Callen principle concerning on the equivalence between microcanonical and canonical ensembles.     

Graphs realised by r.e. equivalence relations

We investigate dependence of recursively enumerable graphs on the equality relation given by a specific r.e. equivalence relation on ω. In particular we compare r.e. equivalence relations in terms of graphs they permit to represent. This defines partially ordered sets that depend on classes of graphs under consideration. We investigate some algebraic properties of these partially ordered sets. For instance, we show that some of these partial ordered sets possess atoms, minimal and maximal elements. We also fully describe the isomorphism types of some of these partial orders.
