Yang–Mills Theory over Compact Symplectic Manifolds

In this paper, Yang–Mills theory over a compactKähler manifold is naturally extended to a compactsymplectic manifold. The relation betweenthe Yang–Mills equation and symplecticstructure is explicitly clarified, and the moduli spaceof Yang–Mills connections over a compactsymplectic manifold is constructed. Furthermore, theabsolute minima of the Yang–Mills functional arecharacterized, and finite dimensionality ofthe moduli space of the minimizers of the Yang–Millsfunctional is shown.

Moduli Spaces of Maslov Complex Germs

Maslov complex germs (complex vector bundles, satisfying certain additional conditions, over isotropic submanifolds of the phase space) are one of the central objects in the theory of semiclassical quantization. To these bundles one assigns spectral series (quasimodes) of partial differential operators. We describe the moduli spaces of Maslov complex germs over a point and a closed trajectory and find the moduli of complex germs generated by a given symplectic connection over an invariant torus.     

On the existence of intermediate magnetohydrodynamic shock waves

We consider the questions related to the structure of shock waves for a system of magnetohydrodynamic equations. Using Conley's connection matrix, we recover and extend earlier results due to C. Conley and J. Smoller. In particular, we give a simpler proof of the existence of fast and slow shocks with structure. We also demonstrate that for some viscosity parameters intermediate shocks occur. Furthermore, under an assumption of transversality, we show that there exist multi-parameter families of these intermediate shocks.This research was done while both authors were visiting the Lefschetz Center for Dynamical Systems at Brown University.Supported in part by the NSF under Grant DMS-8507056.Supported in part by AFOSR 87-0347.     

基于连接矩阵的潜在通路定性分析方法

对电路图中的电气元件进行定性建模,根据建立的元件模型,按照电流方向将电路图转化为有向图的形式,进而构造出图的连接矩阵,利用其代数余子式计算有向图中从电源正端到地端的所有通路路径,并与该电路图设计的功能支路进行对比确定电路是否存在潜在通路;相比于传统潜在通路分析的邻接矩阵法,该方法不仅能判别电路中是否存在潜在通路,而且能确定潜在通路的所有导通路径信息;在此基础上,提出了改进原始电路图以达到消除潜在通路影响的方法,文中采用某汽车点火电路为例,利用Capital Harness System(CHS)软件仿真分析,验证该方法的正确性与可行性。     

Block relations in formal fuzzy concept analysis

One of the main problems in formal concept analysis (especially in fuzzy setting) is to reduce a concept lattice of a formal context to appropriate size to make it graspable and understandable. A natural way to do it is to substitute the formal context by its block relation which is equivalent to factorization of the concept lattice by a complete tolerance. We generalize known results on the correspondence of block relations of formal contexts and complete tolerances on concept lattices to fuzzy setting and we provide an illustrative example of using block relations to reduce the size of a concept lattice.     

On Hopf Galois Extension of Separable Algebras

In this paper, the classical Galois theory to the H*-Galois case is developed. Let H be a semisimple and cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k, A a left H-module algebra,and A/AHa right H*-Galois extension. The authors prove that, if AHis a separable kalgebra, then for any right coideal subalgebra B of H, the B-invariants A~B= {a ∈ A |b · a = ε(b)a, b∈ B} is a separable k-algebra. They also establish a Galois connection between right coideal subalgebras of H and separable subalgebras of A containing AHas in the classical case. The results are applied to the case H =(kG)*for a finite group G to get a Galois 1-1 correspondence.     

Proper connection and size of graphs

An edge-coloured graph $G$ is called properly connected if any two vertices are connected by a path whose edges are properly coloured. The proper connection number of a connected graph $G,$ denoted by $\mathrm{pc}\left(G\right)$, is the smallest number of colours that are needed in order to make $G$ properly connected. Our main result is the following: Let $G$ be a connected graph of order $n$ and $k\ge 2$. If $\left|E\left(G\right)\right|\ge \left(\genfrac{}{}{0ex}{}{n?k?1}{2}\right)+k+2$, then $\mathrm{pc}\left(G\right)\le k$ except when $k=2$ and $G\in \{G_1,G_2\},$ where $G_1=K_1\vee (2K_1+K_2)$ and $G_2=K_1\vee (K_1+2K_2).$
