Let ?>0. A continuous linear operator T:C(X)?C(Y) is said to ?-preserve disjointness if ‖(Tf)(Tg)‖?, whenever f,gC(X) satisfy ‖f=‖g=1 and fg≡0. In this paper we continue our study of the minimal interval where the possible maximal distance from a norm one operator which ?-preserves disjointness to the set of weighted composition maps may lie. We provide sharp bounds for both the finite and the infinite case, which turn out to be completely different.  相似文献

The relationship between the operator norms of fractional integral operators acting on weighted Lebesgue spaces and the constant of the weights is investigated. Sharp bounds are obtained for both the fractional integral operators and the associated fractional maximal functions. As an application improved Sobolev inequalities are obtained. Some of the techniques used include a sharp off-diagonal version of the extrapolation theorem of Rubio de Francia and characterizations of two-weight norm inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain essentially sharp generalized Keller-Osserman conditions for wide classes of differential inequalities of the form Lu?b(x)f(u)?(|∇u|) and Lu?b(x)f(u)?(|∇u|)−g(u)h(|∇u|) on weighted Riemannian manifolds, where L is a non-linear diffusion-type operator. Prototypical examples of these operators are the p-Laplacian and the mean curvature operator. The geometry of the underlying manifold is reflected, via bounds for the modified Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature, by growth conditions for the functions b and ?. A weak maximum principle which extends and improves previous results valid for the φ-Laplacian is also obtained. Geometric comparison results, valid even in the case of integral bounds for the modified Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor, are presented.  相似文献

The spectrum of weighted graphs is often used to solve the problems in the design of networks and electronic circuits. We first give some perturbational results on the (signless) Laplacian spectral radius of weighted graphs when some weights of edges are modified; we then determine the weighted tree with the largest Laplacian spectral radius in the set of all weighted trees with a fixed number of pendant vertices and a positive weight set. Furthermore, we also derive the weighted trees with the largest Laplacian spectral radius in the set of all weighted trees with a fixed positive weight set and independence number, matching number or total independence number.  相似文献

In this article we prove weighted norm inequalities and pointwise estimates between the multilinear fractional integral operator and the multilinear fractional maximal. As a consequence of these estimations we obtain weighted weak and strong inequalities for the multilinear fractional maximal operator or function. In particular, we extend some results given in Carro et al. (2005) [7] to the multilinear context. On the other hand we prove weighted pointwise estimates between the multilinear fractional maximal operator Mα,B associated to a Young function B and the multilinear maximal operators Mψ=M0,ψ, ψ(t)=B(t1−α/(nm))nm/(nmα). As an application of these estimate we obtain a direct proof of the LpLq boundedness results of Mα,B for the case B(t)=t and Bk(t)=tk(1+log+t) when 1/q=1/pα/n. We also give sufficient conditions on the weights involved in the boundedness results of Mα,B that generalizes those given in Moen (2009) [22] for B(t)=t. Finally, we prove some boundedness results in Banach function spaces for a generalized version of the multilinear fractional maximal operator.  相似文献

In this study we consider the single-machine scheduling problems with a sum of-processing-times-based learning effect. The sum of-processing-times-based learning effect of a job is assumed to be a function of the sum of the normal processing time of the already processed jobs. The objective is to minimize one of two regular objective functions, namely the weighted sum of completion times and the maximum lateness. We use the weighted shortest processing time (WSPT) rule and the earliest due date (EDD) rule as heuristics for the general cases and analyze their worst-case error bounds. We also provide computational results to evaluate the performance of the heuristics.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with inference of panel data varying-coefficient partially linear models with a one-way error structure. The model is a natural extension of the well-known panel data linear model (due to Baltagi 1995) to the setting of semiparametric regressions. The authors propose a weighted profile least squares estimator (WPLSE) and a weighted local polynomial estimator (WLPE) for the parametric and nonparametric components, respectively. It is shown that the WPLSE is asymptotically more efficient than the usual profile least squares estimator (PLSE), and that the WLPE is also asymptotically more efficient than the usual local polynomial estimator (LPE). The latter is an interesting result. According to Ruckstuhl, Welsh and Carroll (2000) and Lin and Carroll (2000), ignoring the correlation structure entirely and "pretending" that the data are really independent will result in more efficient estimators when estimating nonparametric regression with longitudinal or panel data. The result in this paper shows that this is not true when the design points of the nonparametric component have a closeness property within groups. The asymptotic properties of the proposed weighted estimators are derived. In addition, a block bootstrap test is proposed for the goodness of fit of models, which can accommodate the correlations within groups illustrate the finite sample performances of the Some simulation studies are conducted to proposed procedures.  相似文献

The results of Lanzinger and Stadtmfiller in 2003 are extended from the i.i.d, case to the case of the negatively associated, not necessarily identically distributed random variables. Also, the result of Pruss in 2003 on independent variables reduces to a special case of the present paper; furthermore, the necessity part of his result is complemented.  相似文献
