Szegö quadrature formulas for certain Jacobi-type weight functions

In this paper we are concerned with the estimation of integrals on the unit circle of the form by means of the so-called Szegö quadrature formulas, i.e., formulas of the type with distinct nodes on the unit circle, exactly integrating Laurent polynomials in subspaces of dimension as high as possible. When considering certain weight functions related to the Jacobi functions for the interval nodes and weights in Szegö quadrature formulas are explicitly deduced. Illustrative numerical examples are also given.

Weight adjustment in calculating surface ligand coverage or density for chromatographic bonded phases

A method based on successive approximation is proposed for the calculation of surface coverage or ligand density of chemically bonded stationary phases from elemental analysis data. The approach could be used to calculate surface coverage in many stationary phase preparations, including end-capping and stepwise couplings. Key in this procedure is the use of successive approximation to simplify the adjustment of weight changes in stationary phase preparation. The method does not involve complicated mathematic equations.     

Rates of -statistical convergence of positive linear operators

In this paper we study the rates of A-statistical convergence of sequences of positive linear operators mapping the weighted space C_ρ1 into the weighted space B_ρ2.     

Topology identification of weighted complex dynamical networks

Recently, various papers investigated the geometry features, synchronization and control of complex network provided with certain topology. While, the exact topology of a network is sometimes unknown or uncertain. Using Lyapunov theory, we propose an adaptive feedback controlling method to identify the exact topology of a rather general weighted complex dynamical network model. By receiving the network nodes evolution, the topology of such kind of network with identical or different nodes, or even with switching topology can be monitored. Experiments show that the methods presented in this paper are of high accuracy with good performance.
