We outline a recursive method for obtaining WKB expansions of solutions of the Dirac equation in an external centrally symmetric field with a scalar-vector Lorentz structure of the interaction potentials. We obtain semiclassical formulas for radial functions in the classically allowed and forbidden regions and find conditions for matching them in passing through the turning points. We generalize the Bohr-Sommerfeld quantization rule to the relativistic case where a spin-1/2 particle interacts simultaneously with a scalar and an electrostatic external field. We obtain a general expression in the semiclassical approximation for the width of quasistationary levels, which was earlier known only for barrier-type electrostatic potentials (the Gamow formula). We show that the obtained quantization rule exactly produces the energy spectrum for Coulomb- and oscillatory-type potentials. We use an example of the funnel potential to demonstrate that the proposed version of the WKB method not only extends the possibilities for studying the spectrum of energies and wave functions analytically but also ensures an appropriate accuracy of calculations even for states with nr 1.Translated from Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 143, No. 1, pp. 83–111, April, 2005.  相似文献

This Letter presents a new technique for measuring the variation of the material properties along the thickness in a freestanding inhomogeneous thin film. The analytical results reveal a simple relation between the material properties and the set of cut-off frequencies of Lamb waves. The influence of the graded properties on the variation of cut-off frequencies in three different kinds of models, including artificial FGM model, sub-surface damage model, and nano-porous thin film model, is discussed. These results provide theoretical guidance for characterizing the material property variations of MEMS/NEMS.  相似文献

We consider some linear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients associated to a smooth symmetric metric g which can be degenerate, without sign and such that g has a submatrix of fixed rank v which is uniformly nondegenerate. In this general setting we prove Strichartz estimates with a loss of derivative on the solution. We also discuss the problem of the control of high frequencies. In particular, we prove that if the equation preserves the H s norm for all s ≥ 0, then we obtain almost the same Strichartz estimates as those for the Schrödinger equation associated to a Riemannian metric of dimension 2d ? v.  相似文献

Abstract

In the present article, we study the system of eikonal and transport equations arising in geometrical optics. The mathematical analysis is performed by using the suitable notion of solution, i.e., the viscosity solution for the Hamilton–Jacobi equation and the measure solution for the transport equation defined via the generalized Filippov characteristics. We develop the exact WKB analysis of an M2P1T (merging two simple poles and one simple turning point) Schrödinger equation. In Part II, using a WKB-theoretic transformation to the algebraic Mathieu equation constructed in Part I, we calculate the alien derivative of its Borel transformed WKB solutions at each fixed singular point relevant to the simple poles through the analysis of Borel transformed WKB solutions of the Legendre equations. In the course of the calculation of the alien derivative we make full use of microdifferential operators whose symbols are given by the infinite series that appear in the coefficients of the algebraic Mathieu equation and the Legendre equation.  相似文献

A Liouville-Green (WKB) asymptotic approximation theory is developed for some classes of linear second-order difference equations in Banach algebras. The special case of linear matrix difference equations (or, equivalently, of second-order systems) is emphasized. Rigorous and explicitly computable bounds for the error terms are obtained, and this when both, the sequence index and some parameter that may enter the coefficients, go to infinity. A simple application is made to orthogonal matrix polynomials in the Nevai class.  相似文献
