Strong convergence analysis of a hybrid algorithm for nonlinear operators in a Banach space

In this paper, a hybrid algorithm is investigated for an asymptotically quasi-$\phi$-nonexpansive mapping in the intermediate sense and a bifunction. Strong convergence of the algorithm is obtained in a strictly convex, smooth and reflexive Banach space.     

Erratum to "More Results on Hermite-Hadamard type inequality through (α,m)-preinvexity"

In this paper, we present some corrections to definitions of $m$-preinvex, $\left( \alpha,m\right) $-preinvex functions and statements of the theorems of the results proved in [7].     

Convergence to equilibrium for a time semi-discrete damped wave equation

We prove that the solution of the backward Euler scheme applied to a damped wave equation with analytic nonlinearity converges to a stationary solution as time goes to infinity. The proof is based on the {\L}ojasiewciz-Simon inequality. It is much simpler than in the continuous case, thanks to the dissipativity of the scheme. The framework includes the modified Allen-Cahn equation and the sine-Gordon equation.     

Existence and multiplicity of solutions for elliptic equations with jumping nonlinearities

In this paper we are concerned with a semilinear elliptic Dirichlet problem with jumping nonlinearity and, using a completely variational method, we show that the number of solutions may be arbitrarily large provided the number of jumped eigenvalues is large enough. In order to prove this fact, we show that for every positive integer k, when a suitable parameter is large enough, there exists a solution which presents k peaks. Under the assumptions we consider in this paper, new (unexpected) phenomena are observed in the study of this problem and new methods are required to construct the k-peaks solutions and describe their asymptotic behavior (weak limits of the rescaled solutions, localization of the concentration points of the peaks, asymptotic profile of the rescaled peaks, etc.).     

Moser-Trudinger type inequalities for the Hessian equation

The k-Hessian equation for k?2 is a class of fully nonlinear partial differential equation of divergence form. A Sobolev type inequality for the k-Hessian equation was proved by the second author in 1994. In this paper, we prove the Moser-Trudinger type inequality for the k-Hessian equation.     

On a Hilbert-type linear series operator and its applications

This paper deals with a Hilbert-type linear series operator and its norm. Several generalizations of the Hilbert-type inequalities whose kernels are symmetric and homogeneous of the first order are presented. Included are applications of some new extended Hilbert-type inequalities with the best possible constant factors and the equivalent forms are established. Also, the reverse forms and some particular forms are obtained as special cases of the results of this paper.

A Schwarz-Pick inequality for harmonic quasiconformal mappings and its applications

The main result of this paper is the sharp generalized Schwarz-Pick inequality for euclidean harmonic quasiconformal mappings with convex ranges, which generalizes a result given by Mateljevi?. As its applications, we obtain the property of quasi-isometry with respect to the Poincaré distance and an analogue of the Koebe theorem for this class of mappings.
