The interpolation polynomials based on Lagrange, Newton and power basis play important roles in applied mathematics, computing method and many other emerging applications. In this paper, we present some coordinate transformation formulae and algorithms as demonstrated below. Firstly, we put forward the formulae of the Lagrange-power basis transformation and its inverse transformation, and as a byproduct, we provide a new method to arrive at the inversion of the Vandermonde matrix. Secondly, we give the formulae of Lagrange-Newton transformation and its inverse transformation. Moreover, we construct related algorithms of Lagrange-power basis transformation, Lagrange-Newton transformation and their inverse transformations.  相似文献

By employing divided differences, a unified approach to the evaluation of some determinant involving generalized factorials is proposed. Previous generalizations of the Vandermonde determinant and the Cauchy determinant due to Chu-Claudio, Chu-Wang-Zhang and Johnson are included as special cases of our unified treatment.  相似文献

The main object of this presentation is to show how some simple combinatorial identities can lead to several general families of combinatorial and other series identities as well as summation formulas associated with the Fox-Wright function pΨq and various related generalized hypergeometric functions. At least one of the hypergeometric summation formulas, which is derived here in this manner, has already found a remarkable application in producing several interesting generalizations of the Karlsson-Minton summation formula. We also consider a number of other combinatorial series identities and rational sums which were proven, in recent works, by using different methods and techniques. We show that much more general results can be derived by means of certain summation theorems for hypergeometric series. Relevant connections of the results presented here with those in the aforementioned investigations are also considered.  相似文献

Two q-difference equations with solutions expressed by q-exponential operator identities are investigated. As applications, two extensions of Ramanujan?s formulas for q-beta integral are given, two generalizations of Andrews–Askey integral are obtained. In this paper we carry over the Björck-Pereyra algorithm for solving Vandermonde linear systems to what we suggest to call Szegö-Vandermonde systems VΦ(x), i.e., polynomial-Vandermonde systems where the corresponding polynomial system Φ is the Szegö polynomials. The properties of the corresponding unitary Hessenberg matrix allow us to derive a fast O(n2) computational procedure. We present numerical experiments that indicate that for ill-conditioned matrices the new algorithm yields better forward accuracy than Gaussian elimination.  相似文献
