As a simplified structural model, a semicircular frame is used to study the crashworthiness behavior of an aircraft fuselage. The quasi-static large elastic-plastic deformation of a semicircular frame in the process of its being pressed against a rigid ground is analyzed. First, based on the linear elastic assumption, the quasi-static large deformation contact process of the frame can be divided into three phases, i.e., point contact, line contact and post-buckling. By means of a shooting method, the relations between the displacement and contact force as well as the distribution of bending moment in the three phases are obtained. Then, by assuming an elastic, perfectly-plastic moment-curvature relationship for the semi-circular frame, the contact process is analyzed in detail to reveal the plastic collapse mechanism, the traveling of plastic hinge and the force-displacement relationship. In order to verify the analysis, a preliminary experiment was conducted, in which two types of half rings with clamped ends were pressed by a rigid plate. In addition, a numerical simulation is also conducted by employing ABAQUS to analyze both rectangular cross-sectional beam and I-beam. Finally, the theoretical predictions are compared with the experimental results and numerical solutions, showing that the elastic-plastic analysis can predict the contact process very well. 相似文献

ABSTRACT We consider a reaction-diffusion equation of bistable type in a square cylinder whose diameter varies with Neumann boundary conditions in dimension 2 and 3. We prove the nonexistence of generalized traveling wave solution of this equation when the diameter is suddenly strongly increased. At the same time, we prove that the solution of the equation with an exponentially decreasing initial condition cannot pass over a certain threshold far enough in the direction of propagation. we derive relation between speed index function and stability index function for each of the waves. We investigate stability of multidimensional planar shock profiles of a general hyperbolic relaxation system whose equilibrium model is a system, under the necessary assumption of spectral stability and a standard set of structural conditions that are known to hold for many physical systems. Our main result, generalizing the work of Kwon and Zumbrun in the scalar relaxation case, is to establish the bounds on the Green?s function for the linearized equation and obtain nonlinear L2 asymptotic behavior/sharp decay rate of perturbed weak shock profiles. To establish Green?s function bounds, we use the semigroup approach in the low-frequency regime, and use the energy method for the high-frequency bounds, separately. For the system equilibrium case, the analysis of the linearized equation is complicated due to glancing phenomena. From a biological point of view, we consider a prey-predator-type free diffusion fishery model with stage-structure and harvesting. First, we study the stability of the nonnegative constant equilibria. In particular, the effect of harvesting on the stability of equilibria is discussed and supported with numerical simulation. Then, employing the upper and lower solution method, we show that when the wave speed is large enough there exists a traveling wavefront connecting the zero solution to the positive equilibrium of the system.
