This paper deals with the tracking control of nonlinear chaotic systems with dynamics uncertainties. A robust control strategy is developed to control a class of nonlinear chaotic systems with uncertainties. The proposed strategy is an input-output control scheme which comprises an uncertainty estimator and a linearizing-like feedback. The control time is explicitly computed. It is of great significance and challenge to efficiently improve the tracking and erosion resistance of silicone rubber along with the growing requirements in the field of outdoor high voltage insulation. In this work, we herein proposed an effective way to address this issue by incorporating vinyltriethoxysilane (ViTES) and layered Mg–Al double hydroxide (LDH) into high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HTVSR). ViTES/LDH notably enhanced the tracking and erosion resistance of HTVSR. With addition of 3.33 phr ViTES and 5.00 phr LDH, the anti-tracking performance of HTVSR reached the 1A 4.5 level, and the eroded mass was merely 0.3%. The results of scanning electron microscopy and equilibrium swelling showed that ViTES substantially improved the interfacial interaction between HTVSR and LDH and the crosslinking density of HTVSR, and enhanced the dispersion of LDH sheets in the HTVSR matrix. The possible synergistic suppression mechanism of ViTES/LDH on the tracking and erosion of HTVSR was further studied and demonstrated by the plasma irradiation analysis, thermogravimetry and thermogravimetry-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry. It was indicated that under the high voltage arcing discharge, LDH facilitated the formation of a dense barrier layer consisting of bimetal mixed oxides on the HTVSR surface, exerting outstanding lamellar barrier effect. The further degradation and the generation as well as development of electrical tracking were efficiently suppressed. The positron emission particle tracking (PEPT) technique has been widely used in science and engineering to obtain detailed information on the motion and flow fields of fluids or granular materials in multiphase systems, for example, fluids in rock cracks, chemical reactors and food processors; dynamic behaviour of granular materials in chemical reactors, granulators, mixers, dryers, rotating kilns and ball mills. The information obtained by the PEPT technique can be used to optimise the design, operational conditions for a wide range of industrial process systems, and to evaluate modelling work. The technique is based on tracking radioactively labelled particles (up to three particles) by detecting the pairs of back-to-back 511 ke V -γ-rays arising from annihilation of emitted positrons. It therefore involves a positron camera, location algorithms for calculating the tracer location and speed, and tracer labelling techniques. This paper presents a method for modeling microgeometric structures of porous media with a predominant using successive cross-sections. The proposed model takes into account the properties of diffusive flow in capillaries. In order to characterize uncertainty and imprecision occurring in geometric features of cross-sections, we introduce the concept of connection degrees as well as tracking degrees based on fuzzy theory. The proposed model can be used for classifying different types of media and finding the relationship between the geometric structure of a porous medium and its physical properties. This paper deals with the numerical solution and validation of a reactive flow model dedicated to the study of spherical explosions with an aluminized energetic material. Situations related to air blast as well as underwater explosions are examined. Such situations involve multiscale phenomena associated with the detonation reaction zone, the aluminium reaction zone, the shock propagation distance and the bubble oscillation period. A detonation tracking method is developed in order to avoid the detonation structure computation. An ALE formulation is combined to the detonation tracking method in order to solve the material interface between detonation products and the environment as well as shock propagation. The model and the algorithm are then validated over a wide range of spherical explosions involving several types of explosives, both in air and liquid water environment. Large-scale experiments have been done in order to determine the blast wave effects with explosive compositions of variable aluminium content.
