Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund inequalities

We study a generalization of the classical Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund inequalities. We relate this problem to the sampling sequences in the Paley–Wiener space and by using this analogy we give sharp necessary and sufficient computable conditions for a family of points to satisfy the Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund inequalities.     

Improved solid-phase peptide synthesis of ‘difficult peptides’ by altering the microenvironment of the developing sequence

Three types of resins, related to the spacer, environmental and microenvironmental models were prepared by grafting commercial AMP polymer with 2-[2-(2-aminoethylamino)-2-oxoethoxy]acetic acid. All resins were highly loaded and functionalized with Rink-amide linker. A comparative synthesis of the classic difficult sequence ACP (65-74) on the prepared resins by Fmoc/t-Bu chemistry is presented. The ‘microenviromental’ model resin afforded the crude peptide in the highest purity (98%).     

覆氧或氧离子轰击下固体表面二次正离子发射的研究

通过对离子轰击下固体表面电离过程重新考虑认为，在固体表面覆氧或氧离子轰击下除表面原子的直接电离外，激发态双原子间电子交换和断键亦起重要作用。在此基础上修正了局部热力学平衡模型，得到了一个包含各类离子内配分函数、电离能、金属－氧原子键断键能以及表面金属原子与氧原子结合份数等参数决定的新电离几率分析表达式。应用该分析表达式解释了金属表面覆氧、氧离子轰击金属、化合物半导体表面二次离子发射中氧增强效应、充氧量对二次离子发射的影响及其基体效应等实验现象。并由此得到了元素相对灵敏度因子的分析表达式，对化合物半导体及一些陶瓷材料表面二次离子质谱分析中元素灵敏度因子随元素电离能变化曲线给予了相应的物理解释。     

Superized Troesch complexes and cohomology for strict polynomial superfunctors

We adapt a construction due to Troesch to the category of strict polynomial superfunctors in order to construct complexes of injective objects whose cohomology is isomorphic to Frobenius twists of the (super)symmetric power functors. We apply these complexes to construct injective resolutions of the even and odd Frobenius twist functors, to investigate the structure of the Yoneda algebra of the Frobenius twist functor, and to compute other extension groups between strict polynomial superfunctors. By an equivalence of categories, this also provides cohomology calculations in the category of left modules over Schur superalgebras.     

Triple Positive Solutions of Boundary Value Problems for High-order Fractional Differential Equation at Resonance with Singularities

In this paper, we investigate the existence of triple positive solutions of boundary value problems for high-order fractional differential equation at resonance with singularities by using the fixed point index theory and the Leggett-Williams theorem. The spectral theory and some new height functions are also employed to establish the existence of triple positive solutions. The nonlinearity involved is arbitrary fractional derivative, and permits singularity.     

The diagnonal multivariate natural exponential families and their classification

A natural exponential family (NEF)F in ? ⁿ ,n>1, is said to be diagonal if there existn functions,a ₁,...,a _n , on some intervals of ?, such that the covariance matrixV _F (m) ofF has diagonal (a ₁(m ₁),...,a _n (m _n )), for allm=(m ₁,...,m _n ) in the mean domain ofF. The familyF is also said to be irreducible if it is not the product of two independent NEFs in ? ^k and ? ^n-k , for somek=1,...,n?1. This paper shows that there are only six types of irreducible diagonal NEFs in ? ⁿ , that we call normal, Poisson, multinomial, negative multinomial, gamma, and hybrid. These types, with the exception of the latter two, correspond to distributions well established in the literature. This study is motivated by the following question: IfF is an NEF in ? ⁿ , under what conditions is its projectionp(F) in ? ^k , underp(x ₁,...,x _n )∶=(x ₁,...,x _k ),k=1,...,n?1, still an NEF in ? ^k ? The answer turns out to be rather predictable. It is the case if, and only if, the principalk×k submatrix ofV _F (m ₁,...,m _n ) does not depend on (m _k+1,...,m _n ).     

Characterization of measures by potentials

Let μ be a measure in a Banach spaceE, f be an even function onR. We consider the potentialg(a)=f _E f(‖x?a‖)dμ(x). The question is as follows: For whichf does the potentialg determine μ uniquely? In this article we give answers in the cases whereE=l _∞ ⁿ and wheref(t)=|t| ^p andE is a finite dimensional Banach space with symmetric analytic norm. Calculating the Fourier transform of the functionf(‖x‖ _∞) we give a new proof of the J. Misiewicz's result that the functionf(‖x‖ _∞) is positive definite only iff is a constant function.     

Trigonometric wavelets for Hermite interpolation

The aim of this paper is to investigate a multiresolution analysis of nested subspaces of trigonometric polynomials. The pair of scaling functions which span the sample spaces are fundamental functions for Hermite interpolation on a dyadic partition of nodes on the interval . Two wavelet functions that generate the corresponding orthogonal complementary subspaces are constructed so as to possess the same fundamental interpolatory properties as the scaling functions. Together with the corresponding dual functions, these interpolatory properties of the scaling functions and wavelets are used to formulate the specific decomposition and reconstruction sequences. Consequently, this trigonometric multiresolution analysis allows a completely explicit algorithmic treatment.

     

Existence and asymptotic results for a system of integro-partial differential equations
