Correspondence Between Bell Bases and Oriented Links in Knot Theory

From the comparison of correlation tensor in the theory of quantum network, the Alexander relation matrix in the theory of knot crystals and the identical inversion relations under the action of Pauli matrices, we show that there is a one to one correspondence between four Bell bases and four oriented links of the linkage 41 in knot theory.     

The influence of aliphatic sulfides on the photoinduced polymerization of butanediol-1,4 dimethacrylate

The photoinduced polymerization of butanediol-1,4 dimethacrylate was investigated in the presence of various linear sulfides and cyclic dithioacetals. Benzophenone was used as a sensitizer. It was found that the addition of small amounts of sulfides to the polymerization mixture causes, depending on the sulfide structure and concentration, reduction or full elimination of an induction period as well as an increase in the reaction rate and yield both in air and argon-saturated systems. The explanation of the obtained results is based on the propensity of sulfides to act as hydrogen donors, chain-transfer agents, and highly oxidizable compounds.

A local error estimate of the method of multi-scale asymptotic expansions for elliptic problems with rapidly oscillatory coefficients

In this paper, on basis of [O.A. Oleinik, A.S. Shamaev, G.A. Yosifian, Mathematical Problems in Elasticity and Homogenization, North-Holland, Amsterdam, 1992], we present a local error estimate of the method of multi-scale asymptotic expansions for second order elliptic problems with rapidly oscillatory coefficients.

Résumé L'objet de cet article est de montrer comment laK-théorie multiplicative peut être utilisée pour définir de nouvelles classes caractéristiques secondaires de fibrés vectoriels munis de structures supplémentaires, dans des contextes géométriques variés. On y développe des exemples reliés à des travaux antérieurs divers.

The purpose of this paper is to show how multiplicativeK-theory may be used to define new secondary characteristic classes for vector bundles with additional structures, in various geometrical contexts. Many examples are developed which are related to previous works.

On the p-Ranks and Characteristic Polynomials of Cyclic Difference Sets

In this paper, the p-ranks and characteristic polynomials of cyclic difference sets are derived by expanding the trace expressions of their characteristic sequences. Using this method, it is shown that the 3-ranks and characteristic polynomials of the Helleseth–Kumar–Martinsen (HKM) difference set and the Lin difference set can be easily obtained. Also, the p-rank of a Singer difference set is reviewed and the characteristic polynomial is calculated using our approach.     

New Cyclic Difference Sets with Singer Parameters Constructed from d-Homogeneous Functions

In this paper, for a prime power q, new cyclic difference sets with Singer para- meters ((q ⁿ –1/q–1), (q ^n–1–1/q–1), (q ^n–2–1/q–1)) are constructed by using q-ary sequences (d-homogeneous functions) of period q ⁿ –1 and the generalization of GMW difference sets is proposed by combining the generation methods of d-form sequences and extended sequences. When q is a power of 3, new cyclic difference sets with Singer parameters ((q ⁿ –1/q–1), (q ^n–1–1/q–1), (q ^n–2–1/q–1)) are constructed from the ternary sequences of period q ⁿ –1 with ideal autocorrelation introduced by Helleseth, Kumar, and Martinsen.
