A Strong Maximum Principle for parabolic equations with the p-Laplacian

We prove the Strong Maximum Principle (SMP) under suitable assumptions for a class of quasilinear parabolic problems with the p  -Laplacian, p>1$p>1$, on bounded cylindrical domains of R^N+1${\mathbb{R}}^{N+1}$,

_∂tu−_Δpu−λ|u|^p−2u≥0,${\partial }_{t}u-{\mathrm{\Delta }}_{p}u-\lambda {|u|}^{p-2}u\ge 0,$

with nonnegative initial–boundary conditions and λ≤0$\lambda \le 0$, and we give some counterexamples to the SMP if some of our assumptions are violated. We show that the Hopf Maximum Principle holds for 1<p<2$1<p<2$, and give a counterexample to it for p>2$p>2$. Also the Weak Maximum Principle for λ≤_λ1$\lambda \le {\lambda }_1$ is established.     

Standard maximum likelihood drift parameter estimator in the homogeneous diffusion model is always strongly consistent

We consider the homogeneous stochastic differential equation with unknown parameter to be estimated. We prove that the standard maximum likelihood estimate is strongly consistent under very mild conditions. The conditions for strong consistency of the discretized estimator are established as well.     

Existence and regularity of solutions for evolution equations with Riemann–Liouville fractional derivatives

In this paper, we derive the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions for inhomogeneous fractional evolution equations in Banach spaces by means of the method of fractional resolvent. Furthermore, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of strong solutions. An example of the fractional diffusion equation is also presented to illustrate our theory.     

A CENTRAL LIMIT THEOREM FOR STRONG NEAR-EPOCH DEPENDENT RANDOM VARIABLES

In this paper, a central limit theorem for strong near-epoch dependent sequences of random variables introduced in [9] is showed. Under the same moments condition, the authors essentially weaken the "size" requirement mentioned in other papers about near epoch dependence.

Halogen/lithium exchange in hydrocarbon media; basic and continuous reactor studies

The halogen/lithium (X/Li) exchange’s usefulness is challenged by the extreme conditions employed during the conversion of a bromo or an iodo substituent to an organolithium intermediate. Our preliminary disclosure reveals that simple X/Li exchanges can be accomplished at ambient temperature and in doped hydrocarbon media using n-BuLi. Use of a continuous reactor featuring brief reaction times (?1 s) and large product throughputs further facilitates the production of a product resulting from a sequential X/Li exchange and nucleophilic addition.     

Log-Harnack inequality for stochastic Burgers equations and applications

By proving an L²-gradient estimate for the corresponding Galerkin approximations, the log-Harnack inequality is established for the semigroup associated to a class of stochastic Burgers equations. As applications, we derive the strong Feller property of the semigroup, the irreducibility of the solution, the entropy-cost inequality for the adjoint semigroup, and entropy upper bounds of the transition density.

设有该文第1节所描述的广义线性回归模型,以$\underline{\lambda}_n$和$\overline{\lambda}_n$分别记$\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}Z_iZ_i^{\prime}$的最小和最大特征根,$\hat{\beta}_n$记$\beta_0$的极大似然估计.在文献[1]中,当\{$Z_i,i\ge1$\}有界时得到$\hat{\beta}_n$强相合的充分条件,在自然联系和非自然联系下分别为$\underline{\lambda}_n\rightarrow\infty$, $(\overline{\lambda}_n)^{1/2+\delta}=O(\underline{\lambda}_n)$（对某$\delta>0$)以及$\underline{\lambda}_n\rightarrow\infty$, $\overline{\lambda}_n=O(\underline{\lambda}_n)$.作者将后一结果改进为只要求$(\overline{\lambda}_n)^{1/2+\delta}=O(\underline{\lambda}_n)$,从而与自然联系情况下的条件达到一致.
