Numerical Algorithm Based on Quintic Nonpolynomial Spline for Solving Third-Order Boundary Value Problems Associated with Draining and Coating Flows

A numerical algorithm is developed for the approximation of the solution to certain boundary value problems involving the third-order ordinary differential equation associated with draining and coating flows. The authors show that the approximate solutions obtained by the numerical algorithm developed by using nonpolynomial quintic spline functions are better than those produced by other spline and domain decomposition methods. The algorithm is tested on two problems associated with draining and coating flows to demonstrate the practical usefulness of the approach.     

A Note on Cyclic Vectors for the Shift

We strengthen a result in the literature that gives a necessary condition for the shift on the Hardy space H 2 ( G ) of some bounded, simply connected region G to be cyclic. Part of this involves a characterization, in terms of ‘ G , of what it means for G to be the image of under a conformal map whose boundary values are univalent a.e. m (normalized Lebesgue measure on ).     

SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF THE FIRST-ORDER HERMITE CUBIC SPLINE COLLOCATION DIFFERENTIATION MATRICES

It has been observed numerically in [1] that, under certain conditions, all eigenvalues of the first-order Hermite cubic spline collocation differentiation matrices with unsymmetrical collocation points lie in one of the half complex planes. 建立了分辨重叠峰的样条卷积法；利用三阶样条函数构成的峰分辨函数与原信号进行卷积，直接对重叠的伏安峰进行处理，取得了较好的结果；被处理的重叠峰可达到其线分离，且峰位置的相对误差小于3．0％（完全重叠峰为5．4％），峰面积的相对误差小于2．0％；应用于镉（Ⅱ）－铟（Ⅲ）实验体系的微分脉冲伏安信号处理，取得满意的结果。     

处理无模型体系优化问题的一种新方法

本文提出一种处理无模型体系优化问题的方法，按正交方向进行一维搜索，辅之于样条插值方法最优点。同时，通过将Ｎ维优化问题转化为Ｎ维空间超平面上的优化问题的途径，使试验点的数目大为减小，从计算机模拟和原子吸收条件优化结果看，可获得满意结果。
