Critical conditions for the direct initiation of self-sustained detonation in cryogenic hydrogen-oxygen mixtures are examined experimentally. These initial conditions are expected to depend mainly on four parameters: the equivalence ratio of the mixture, the amount of the initial energy deposition, the initial temperature and pressure of the mixture. These critical conditions are determined by fixing alternatively three of these parameters and varying the fourth one from subcritical to supercritical detonation conditions. Results are presented for initial pressuresP o and equivalence ratios ranging from 0.3 to 1 bar and from 1 to 2 respectively, for the two initial temperaturesT o, 123 K and 293 K. These results indicate that for the lowest values of the initial pressure, a decrease of initial temperature may favour the onset of detonation. Whatever the initial conditions, the measured detonation pressures and velocities are in reasonably good agreement with the corresponding Chapman-Jouguet values computed using the ideal-gas equation of state.  相似文献

The Binding Mean Spherical Approximation (BiMSA) is used to describe osmotic coefficients of aqueous solutions of salts containing imidazolium cations and bulky anions over the whole concentration range at temperature in the range (25 to 60) °C. A total of 13 salts have been considered altogether. The ion diameters, the permittivity of solution and the association constant were taken as adjustable parameters. Ionic liquids are described as being weakly associated in water, and association constants values obtained within the BiMSA model are in good agreement with those from the literature. Diameter values were assigned to 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium cations. The adjusted values obtained for the cation diameters increased with the number of carbons on the alkyl chain. For all systems studied, average relative deviations were found to be satisfactory.  相似文献

In this work, some inaccuracies and limitations of prior indentation theories, which are based on experimental observations and the deformation theory of plasticity, are investigated. Effects of major material properties on the indentation load-deflection curve are examined via finite element (FE) analyses based on incremental plasticity theory. It is confirmed that subindenter deformation and stress-strain distribution from deformation plasticity theory are quite dissimilar to those obtained from incremental plasticity theory. We suggest an optimal data acquisition location, where the strain gradient is the least and the effect of friction is negligible. A new numerical approach to indentation techniques is then proposed by examining the FE solutions at the optimal point. Numerical regressions of obtained data exhibit that the strain-hardening exponent and yield strain are the two key parameters which govern the subindenter deformation characteristics. The new indentation theory successfully provides a stress-strain curve and material properties with an average error of less than 3%.  相似文献

This paper shows that the plane wave expansion can be a useful tool in obtaining analytical solutions to infinite integrals over spherical Bessel functions and the derivation of identities for these functions. The integrals are often used in nuclear scattering calculations, where an analytical result can provide an insight into the reaction mechanism. A technique is developed whereby an integral over several special functions which cannot be found in any standard integral table can be broken down into integrals that have existing analytical solutions.  相似文献

We find sharp absolute constants C1 and C2 with the following property: every well-rounded lattice of rank 3 in a Euclidean space has a minimal basis so that the solid angle spanned by these basis vectors lies in the interval [C1,C2]. In fact, we show that these absolute bounds hold for a larger class of lattices than just well-rounded, and the upper bound holds for all. We state a technical condition on the lattice that may prevent it from satisfying the absolute lower bound on the solid angle, in which case we derive a lower bound in terms of the ratios of successive minima of the lattice. We use this result to show that among all spherical triangles on the unit sphere in RN with vertices on the minimal vectors of a lattice, the smallest possible area is achieved by a configuration of minimal vectors of the (normalized) face centered cubic lattice in R3. Such spherical configurations come up in connection with the kissing number problem.  相似文献

Perhaps the simplest non-trivial problem in small deformation dynamic plasticity is expansion of a spherical cavity in an infinite elastic-perfectly-plastic medium. Here, example problems are considered with two boundary conditions at the cavity's surface: constant velocity and constant pressure. Attempts to obtain analytical solutions are complicated by the fact that, in general, the elastic-plastic boundary propagates with variable speed. However, it is known that the elastic-plastic boundary propagates at constant speed for the starting problem when the shocks due to the applied loads are large enough to cause inelastic response at the instant they are applied. When the value of the applied pressure equals the shock pressure due to the applied velocity the solutions of the two boundary value problems are initially identical and can be compared. The objective of this paper is to review the literature and to examine the termination conditions for the starting problem. Specifically, the starting problem terminates when either the jump in radial stress at the elastic-plastic boundary or the loading condition for plasticity vanishes there. These termination conditions depend on the applied load and on Poisson's ratio.  相似文献
