Positive solutions for Neumann problems with indefinite and unbounded potential

We consider semilinear Neumann equations with an indefinite and unbounded potential. We establish the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions. We show that our setting incorporates as special cases several parametric equations of interest (such as the equidiffusive logistic equation).     

An Edgeworth expansion for functionals of Gaussian fields and its applications

This paper is concerned with the rate of convergence in the normal approximation of the sequence $\left\{F_n\right\}$, where each $F_n$ is a functional of an infinite-dimensional Gaussian field. We develop new and powerful techniques for computing the exact rate of convergence in distribution with respect to the Kolmogorov distance. As a tool for our works, the Edgeworth expansion of general orders, with an explicitly expressed remainder, will be obtained, and this remainder term will be controlled to find upper and lower bounds of the Kolmogorov distance in the case of an arbitrary sequence $\left\{F_n\right\}$. As applications, we provide the optimal fourth moment theorem of the sequence $\left\{F_n\right\}$ in the case when $\left\{F_n\right\}$ is a sequence of random variables living in a fixed Wiener chaos or a finite sum of Wiener chaoses. In the former case, our results show that the conditions given in this paper seem more natural and minimal than ones appeared in the previous works.

We consider an optimal control problem for an abstract ITO equation on a Gelfand triple of Hilbert spaces. This control problem is approximated by means of a family of optimal control problems for elliptic systems     

Matrix approaches to approximate solutions of variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces

A matrix approach to approximating solutions of variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces is introduced. This approach uses two matrices: one for iteration process and the other for regularization. Ergodicity and convergence (both weak and strong) are studied. Our methods combine new or well-known iterative methods (such as the original Mann’s method) with regularized processes involved regular matrices in the sense of Toeplitz.     

Studies towards the stereoselective total synthesis of Gliomasolide A

The first synthetic approach towards the Gliomasolide A is described in 15 linear steps with 4% overall yield. The key steps in this approach are RCM protocol for the construction of 14-member macrolide, a Sharpless kinetic resolution, Keck and Brown’s allylations for the installation of desired stereocenters.
