Homoclinic and Periodic Orbits Arising Near the Heteroclinic Cycle Connecting Saddle-focus and Saddle Under Reversible Condition

In this paper, we study the dynamical behavior for a 4-dimensional reversible system near its heteroclinic loop connecting a saddle-focus and a saddle. The existence of infinitely many reversible 1-homoclinic orbits to the saddle and 2-homoclinic orbits to the saddle-focus is shown. And it is also proved that, corresponding to each 1-homoclinic （resp. 2-homoclinic） orbit F, there is a spiral segment such that the associated orbits starting from the segment are all reversible 1-periodic （resp. 2-periodic） and accumulate onto F. Moreover, each 2-homoclinic orbit may be also accumulated by a sequence of reversible 4-homoclinic orbits.     

On the persistence of elliptic lower-dimensional tori in Hamiltonian systems under the first Melnikov condition and Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition

In this paper we formulate a theorem on the persistence of elliptic lower-dimensional invariant tori for nearly integrable analytic Hamiltonian systems under the first Melnikov condition and Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition, and give the measure estimates of parameters for the non-resonance conditions under Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition, which is essential for the proof of our result.     

Determination of generalized quadrangles with distinct elation points

In this paper, we classify the finite generalized quadrangles of order (s,t), s,t > 1, which have a line L of elation points, with the additional property that there is a line M not meeting L for which {L, M} is regular. This is a first fundamental step towards the classification of those generalized quadrangles having a line of elation points. Non-self-adjoint sturm-liouville operators with matrix potentials

We obtain asymptotic formulas for non-self-adjoint operators generated by the Sturm-Liouville system and quasiperiodic boundary conditions. Using these asymptotic formulas, we obtain conditions on the potential for which the system of root vectors of the operator under consideration forms a Riesz basis.     

Scattering from infinite rough tubular surfaces

We study the Helmholtz equation in the exterior of an infinite perturbed cylinder with a Dirichlet boundary condition. Existence and uniqueness of solutions are established using the variational technique introduced (SIAM J. Math. Anal. 2005; 37 (2):598–618). Existence of a solution for a Signorini contact problem for Maxwell-Norton materials

The aim of this article is to study the quasistatic evolutionof a Maxwell–Norton three-dimensional viscoelastic solidwith contact constraints. After introducing the appropiate functionalframework, we will discretize the problem in time using an implicitscheme whose resultant variational inequality is well posed.By using monotonicity arguments together with compensated compactnesstechniques, we will prove that the corresponding discrete solutionconverges to a solution of the continuous problem.     

Fixed point theorems under the interior condition

We show a fixed point theorem for condensing mappings under a new condition of the Leray-Schauder type. We call it the Interior Condition. We also discuss examples that demonstrate the independence of these two conditions.

     

Strong Vector Equilibrium Problems

In this paper, the existence of the solution for strong vector equilibrium problems is studied by using the separation theorem for convex sets. The arc-wise connectedness and the closedness of the strong solution set for vector equilibrium problems are discussed; and a necessary and sufficient condition for the strong solution is obtained.
