A certain Dirichlet series of Rankin-Selberg type associated with the Ikeda lifting

We consider a certain Dirichlet series of Rankin-Selberg type associated with two Siegel cusp forms of the same integral weight with respect to Spn(Z). In particular, we give an explicit formula for the Dirichlet series associated with the Ikeda lifting of cuspidal Hecke eigenforms with respect to SL₂(Z). We also comment on a contribution to the Ikeda's conjecture on the period of the lifting.     

Robust stability analysis of static neural network with S-type distributed delays

In this paper, we investigate local robust stability of static neural network (SNN) with S-type distributed delays. We derive some new sufficient conditions for local robust stability of equilibrium points and estimate attracting domains of equilibrium points except isolated equilibrium points. Our results not only show local robust stability of equilibrium points but also allow much broader application for static neural network with or without delays. It is shown that our results are new and improve corresponding results existing in the previous literature.

On the Exceptional Zeros of Rankin–Selberg L-Functions

The main objects of study in this article are two classes of Rankin–Selberg L-functions, namely L(s,f×g) and L(s, sym²(g)× sym²(g)), where f,g are newforms, holomorphic or of Maass type, on the upper half plane, and sym²(g) denotes the symmetric square lift of g to GL(3). We prove that in general, i.e., when these L-functions are not divisible by L-functions of quadratic characters (such divisibility happening rarely), they do not admit any LandauSiegel zeros. Such zeros, which are real and close to s=1, are highly mysterious and are not expected to occur. There are corollaries of our result, one of them being a strong lower bound for special value at s=1, which is of interest both geometrically and analytically. One also gets this way a good bound onthe norm of sym²(g).     

Canonical measures on the moduli spaces of compact Riemann surfaces

We study some explicit relations between the canonical line bundle and the Hodge bundle over moduli spaces for low genus. This leads to a natural measure on the moduli space of every genus which is related to the Siegel symplectic metric on Siegel upper half-space as well as to the Hodge metric on the Hodge bundle.

In this paper we define two classes of quasiconformal mappings,and study their covering properties by methods of module.We obtain some new results.In the meantime,we give new methods to prove Koebe 1/2 covering theorem on convex conformal mappings.     

Series representation for semistable laws and their domains of semistable attraction

If the centered and normalized partial sums of an i.i.d. sequence of random variables converge in distribution to a nondegenerate limit then we say that this sequence belongs to the domain of attraction of the necessarily stable limit. If we consider only the partial sums which terminate atk _n wherek _n+1 ck _n then the sequence belongs to the domain of semistable attraction of the necessarily semistable limit. In this paper, we consider the case where the limiting distribution is nonnormal. We obtain a series representation for the partial sums which converges almost surely. This representation is based on the order statistics, and utilizes the Poisson process. Almost sure convergence is a useful technical device, as we illustrate with a number of applications.This research was supported by a research scholarship from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).     

Spectral Properties of Schrödinger Operators on Domains with Varying Orders of Thinness

We consider the Schrödinger operator on two types of domains depending on a small parameter : dumbbell domains and thin domains with varying orders of thinness. In both situations we compare the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the Schrödinger operator with the corresponding eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a limit operator defined on the limit domain.     

The Pullback Asymptotic Behavior of the Solutions for 2D Nonautonomous G-Navier-Stokes Equations

The pullback asymptotic behavior of the solutions for 2D Nonautonomous G-Navier-Stokes equations is studied, and the existence of its $L^2$-pullback attractors on some bounded domains with Dirichlet boundary conditions is investigated by using the measure of noncompactness. Then the estimation of the fractal dimensions for the 2D G-Navier-Stokes equations is given.
