For doped semiconductor superlattices we have analyzed the effects of absorption saturation and change in the refractive index depending on the level of their excitation and structure parameters. The calculations were carried out with account for the tails of the density of states and screening of the electrostatic potential. It is shown that doped superlattices may display shading, i.e., the increase in the absorption coefficient at a fixed frequency with increase in light intensity. For –doped superlattices a stronger nonmonotonicity of the change in the refractive index with increase in the excitation level in comparison with typical structures can manifest itself. 相似文献

On the basis of the experimental reports, the mechanism of the second-order susceptibility (2) for the thermal/electric field poling of fused silica is analyzed, and expressions for (2) are detailedly derived and numerically calculated for the first time. By comparison the theoretical value of (2) with the experiment results, we propose that the effective (2) is created via both the interaction of the intense electric field with the third-order susceptibility (3) and the dipole orientation. The theoretical results show that, in the differently applied voltage, the dipole orientation and (3) play different role in the formation of (2). The nonlinear Schrödinger equation which governs the dynamics of two-dimensional spatial solitons in Kerr media with periodically varying diffraction and nonlinearity has been analyzed in this paper using variational approach and numerical studies. Analytical expressions for soliton parameters have been derived using variational analysis. Variational equations and partial differential equation have been simulated numerically. Analytical and numerical studies have shown that nonlinearity management and diffraction management stabilize the pulse against decay or collapse providing undisturbed propagation even for larger energies of the incident beam. 相似文献

In this paper, 10 Gbps optical soliton transmission link using in-line semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) for already installed standard single mode fibers (SMF) at 1.3 μm wavelength has been reported. The pattern effect and the impact of chirp on pulse propagation after amplification have been investigated. The observations are based on modeling and simulation optical soliton transmission link. Amorphous polymers below their glass‐transition temperature are inherently not at equilibrium. As a result, their structures continuously relax in an attempt to reach the equilibrium state. The current models of structural recovery can quantitatively describe the process. One of the parameters needed for the models is the nonlinearity parameter x. It has been proposed that x can be obtained from experimental data with the so‐called peak‐shift method. In this work, we use the Tool–Narayanaswamy–Moynihan model to identify the factors that determine the accuracy of the peak‐shift method and to quantify the errors in the value of x obtained from the peak‐shift method. In addition, we determine the influence of the error in x on the evaluation of the nonexponential model parameter β. problem in mathematics, for which the Born iterative method is of no effect. In this paper the moment method is used in the
discretization procedure. A numerical approach is presented by employing the regularization technique and DBI (distorted Born
iterative) method. The simulation results show that the approach presented is efficient.

In the paper, we try to study the mechanism of the existence of Gaussian waves in high degree logarithmic nonlinear wave motions. We first construct two model equations which include the high order dispersion and a second degree logarithmic nonlinearity. And then we prove that the Gaussian waves can exist for high degree logarithmic nonlinear wave equations if the balance between the dispersion and logarithmic nonlinearity is kept.
