Risk-neutral valuation with infinitely many trading dates

The first Fundamental Theorem of Asset Pricing establishes the equivalence between the absence of arbitrage in financial markets and the existence of Equivalent Martingale Measures, if appropriate conditions hold. Since the theorem may fail when dealing with infinitely many trading dates, this paper draws on the A.A. Lyapunov Theorem in order to retrieve the equivalence for complete markets such that the Sharpe Ratio is adequately bounded.

On circle diffeomorphisms with discontinuous derivatives and quasi-invariance subgroups of Malliavin-Shavgulidze measures

This note is devoted to construction of the domain of the regular representation of Diff₊(S¹). We consider a subgroup of diffeomorphism group such that the Malliavin-Shavgulidze measure is quasi-invariant with respect to the left action of the subgroup. The measure appears to be quasi-invariant with respect to the left action of diffeomorphisms with discontinuous second derivative. We derive an expression for quasi-invariance density and obtain an additional PSL(2,R) symmetry breaking term.     

The application of spectral distribution of product of two random matrices in the factor analysis

In the factor analysis model with large cross-section and time-series dimensions,we pro- pose a new method to estimate the number of factors.Specially if the idiosyncratic terms satisfy a linear time series model,the estimators of the parameters can be obtained in the time series model. The theoretical properties of the estimators are also explored.A simulation study and an empirical analysis are conducted.     

Monotonic solutions of a quadratic integral equation of fractional order

In the paper we indicate an error made in the proof of the main result of the paper [M.A. Darwish, On quadratic integral equation of fractional orders, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 311 (2005) 112-119]. Moreover, we provide correct proof of a slightly modified version of the mentioned result. The main tool used in our proof is the technique associated with the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness.     

Path properties of l_p-valued Gaussian random fields

General limit theorems are established for l~p-valued Gaussian random fields indexed by a multidimensional parameter,which contain both almost sure moduli of continuity and limits of large increments for the l~p-valued Gaussian random fields under(?)explicit conditions.     

The VC dimension of k‐uniform random hypergraphs

A set of vertices is shattered in a hypergraph if any of its subsets is obtained as the intersection of an edge with the set. The VC dimension is the size of the largest shattered subset. Under the binomial model of k‐uniform random hypergraphs, the threshold function for the VC dimension to be larger than a given integer is obtained. Let μ be a Borel measure on Rd which may be non doubling. The only condition that μ must satisfy is μ(Q) ≤ col(Q)n for any cube Q () Rd with sides parallel to the coordinate axes and for some fixed n with 0 ＜ n ≤ d. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a boundedness property of fractional integrals in Hardy spaces H1 (μ).
