New synchronization analysis for complex networks with variable delays

This paper deals with the issue of synchronization of delayed complex networks. Differing from previous results,the delay interval [0,d(t)] is divided into some variable subintervals by employing a new method of weighting delays. Thus,new synchronization criteria for complex networks with time-varying delays are derived by applying this weighting-delay method and introducing some free weighting matrices. The obtained results have proved to be less conservative than previous results. The sufficient conditions of asymptotical synchronization are derived in the form of linear matrix inequality,which are easy to verify. Finally,several simulation examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed results.     

Design of short length and C+L-band mismatched optical coupler with waveguide weighted by the Blackman function

A mismatched optical coupler with waveguide weighted by the Blackman function is numerically investigated in the demand of short length, C+L-band, and low crosstalk. Utilizing the full factorial design, the structure parameters of coupling waveguide are obtained by beam propagation method. In the condition of crosstalk of −35 dB, the mismatched optical coupler with proper selected waveguide structure parameters is found to have a coupling length of 3.60 mm in the transmission wavelength ranges of C+L-band (1.53-1.61 μm). Obviously, the selection and design of waveguide structure are very important to satisfy the qualities of a mismatched optical coupler for the demand of short length, broad bandwidth, and low crosstalk.

反中心对称矩阵的广义特征值反问题

Given matrix X and diagonal matrix A , the anti-centrosymmetric solutions (A, B) and its optimal approximation of inverse generalized eigenvalue problem AX = BXA have been considered. The general form of such solutions is given and the expression of the optimal approximation solution to a given matrix is derived. The algorithm and one numerical example for solving optimal approximation solution are included.     

A FAST SINE TRANSFORM ALGORITHM FOR TOEPLITZ MATRICES AND ITS APPLICATIONS

In this paper, a fast algorithm for the discrete sine transform(DST) of a Toeplitz matrix of order N is derived. Only O(N log N) O(M) time is needed for the computation of M elements. The auxiliary storage requirement is O(N). An application of the new fast algorithm is also discussed.
