Rb2MnCl4·2H2O crystal belonging to the family of tetrahalogeno‐metallates dihydrates has been subjected to thermal, optical and dielectric studies. At room temperature the optical study under a polarization microscope has revealed a ferroelastic domain structure. At 240 K a dielectric anomaly, characteristic of the week ferroelectric phase transition, has been also observed. Moreover, below the temperatures of the phase transitions dielectric dispersion has appeared. We present two‐dimensional numerical simulations of a natural convection problem in an unbounded domain. The flow circulation is induced by a heat island located on the ground and thermal stratification is applied in the vertical direction. The main effect of this stably stratified environment is to induce the propagation of thermal perturbations in the horizontal direction far from the local thermal source. Numerical stationary solutions at Ra?105 are computed in large elongated computational domains: convergence with respect to the domain sizes is investigated at different resolutions. On fine grids, with mesh size , a thermal sponge layer is added at the vertical boundaries: this local damping technique improves the convergence with respect to the domain length. Boussinesq equations are discretized with a second‐order finite volume scheme on a staggered grid combined with a second‐order projection method for the time integration. A review of wavelet based techniques for the modeling of electromagnetic and optical structures is provided in this paper. Fundamental theoretical aspects of Multiresolution Analysis are mentioned along with mathematical properties of wavelet bases that lead to the construction of highly efficient numerical schemes and fast algorithms. Applications of such schemes in the field of time and frequency domain analysis of electromagnetic geometries are shown and the recently developed Multiresolution Time Domain technique is extensively presented. The analysis and evaluation of wavelet based techniques indicates their potential to provide fast and accurate solutions, thus broadening the limits of existing electromagnetic solvers. 相似文献

In this paper topological invariants of dynamics of scalar parabolic equations are defined. Conservation of these invariants causes persistence of complex spatially chaotic patterns in the dynamics. It implies, in particular, the existence of extremely many stable essentially different spatially complex solutions of scalar semilinear parabolic, elliptic and hyperbolic equations in the situation when coefficients of equations depend on the spatial variable strongly enough and the domain is large or unbounded, the number of different solutions exponentially depends on the volume of domain. Firstly, a characterization of the upper convex densities of self-similar sets at the contracting-similarity fixed points is given. Next, under the strong separation open set condition, the existence of the best shape for the upper convex densities of self-similar sets at the contracting-similarity fixed points is proven.
