Pluriassociative algebras I: The pluriassociative operad

Diassociative algebras form a category of algebras recently introduced by Loday. A diassociative algebra is a vector space endowed with two associative binary operations satisfying some very natural relations. Any diassociative algebra is an algebra over the diassociative operad, and, among its most notable properties, this operad is the Koszul dual of the dendriform operad. We introduce here, by adopting the point of view and the tools offered by the theory of operads, a generalization on a nonnegative integer parameter γ of diassociative algebras, called γ-pluriassociative algebras, so that 1-pluriassociative algebras are diassociative algebras. Pluriassociative algebras are vector spaces endowed with 2γ associative binary operations satisfying some relations. We provide a complete study of the γ-pluriassociative operads, the underlying operads of the category of γ-pluriassociative algebras. We exhibit a realization of these operads, establish several presentations by generators and relations, compute their Hilbert series, show that they are Koszul, and construct the free objects in the corresponding categories. We also study several notions of units in γ-pluriassociative algebras and propose a general way to construct such algebras. This paper ends with the introduction of an analogous generalization of the triassociative operad of Loday and Ronco.     

RBF‐based discrete sliding mode control for robust tracking of uncertain time‐delay systems with input nonlinearity

In this article, a control scheme combining radial basis function neural network and discrete sliding mode control method is proposed for robust tracking and model following of uncertain time‐delay systems with input nonlinearity. The proposed robust tracking controller guarantees the stability of overall closed‐loop system and achieves zero‐tracking error in the presence of input nonlinearity, time‐delays, time‐varying parameter uncertainties, and external disturbances. The salient features of the proposed controller include no requirement of a priori knowledge of the upper bound of uncertainties and the elimination of chattering phenomenon and reaching phase. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity 21: 194–201, 2016     

分析结构非线性问题的杂交可变基Galerkin方法

基于渐近摄动理论和Galer-kin方法,本文提出分析结构非线性问题的杂交可变基Galer-kin方法。本文方法首次引入可变基函数的概念,可大幅度降低计算量,而且在有限元法等数值方法中易于推广应用,在解决非线性问题领域有广泛应用前景。最后本文分析圆板大挠度问题和扁球壳大挠度问题,以验证本文方法的有效性。

A Characterization Theorem for the Canonical Basis of a Closure Operator

The purpose of this paper is to provide a characterization result for the canonical basis of an arbitrary closure operator. This theorem strengthens the result of Burosch, Demetrovics and Katona, who propose a characterization of the generating system of a closure operator defined by the quasi-closed sets of the closure operator.     

Hypergeometric Polynomials and Integer Programming

We examine connections between A-hypergeometric differential equations and the theory of integer programming. In the first part, we develop a hypergeometric sensitivity analysis for small variations of constraint constants with creation operators and b-functions. In the second part, we study the indicial polynomial (b-function) along the hyperplane xi=0 via a correspondence between the optimal value of an integer programming problem and the roots of the indicial polynomial. Gröbner bases are used to prove theorems and give counter examples.     

Gaps and Fatou theorems for series in Schauder basis of holomorphic functions

We prove a gap theorem and the “Fatou change-of-sign theorem” [Fatou, P., 1906, Sèries trigonométriques e séries de Taylor. Acta Mathematica, 39, 335–400] for expansions in common Schauder basis of holomorphic functions.
