The two major ways of obtaining fundamental domains for discrete subgroups of SL(2,?) are the Dirichlet Polygon construction (see Lehner in Discontinuous Groups and Automorphic Functions, American Mathematical Society, Providence, 1964) and Ford’s construction (see Ford in Automorphic Functions, McGraw–Hill, New York, 1929). Each of these two methods yield a hyperbolically convex fundamental domain for any discrete subgroup of SL(2,?).However, the Dirichlet polygon construction and Ford’s construction are not well adapted for the actual construction of a hyperbolically convex fundamental domain due to their nature of construction and their reliance on knowing almost all elements of the group under discussion.
A third-and most important and practical-method of obtaining a fundamental domain is through the use of a right coset decomposition as described below. Let Γ2 be a subgroup of Γ1 and If \(\mathbb{F}\) is a fundamental domain of the bigger group Γ1, then the set is a fundamental domain of Γ2. One can ask at this juncture, is it possible to choose the right cosets suitably so that the set ?Γ is hyperbolically convex? We will answer this question affirmatively for

目的研究血浆脑钠肽(BNP)与急性肺栓塞(APE)患者右心室功能不全(RVD)的关系及其预后评估价值。方法采用酶联免疫法测定44例APE患者血浆BNP水平,同时根据超声心动图检查分为RVD组和无RVD组。观察两组间血浆BNP水平差异及血浆BNP水平与不良事件发生率的关系。结果 APE患者RVD组BNP水平[(2352.5±1987.8)pg/ml]高于无RVD组[(349.9±299.4)pg/ml](P<0.01);低BNP者不良事件发生率(10.0%)低于高BNP者(69.2%),差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);低BNP者1年生存率高于高BNP者(χ2=6.554,P<0.05)。结论 BNP可作为反应APE患者RVD的有效手段,对预测患者不良事件及预后有重要作用。 相似文献

In this MRI work the Fast Gradient-Echo technique has been applied to the detection of the geometrical and elastic properties of the chest aorthic descending artery to check probable troubles in the blood flux which subtend several heart pathologies. The average diameter and the time variations of the aorthic vessel have been measured in the axial scanning plane to minimize the experimental errors. From the analysis of the vessel average diameter and the related root mean square deviation, a parameter named Contractility has been defined, in close relation with the elastic properties of the aorthic vessel. This parameter measured in patients affected from heavy cardiac pathologies such as aorthic arc aneurysm and right atrial mixoma shows remarkable variations when compared to the values obtained in healthy subjects. The use of the Contractility is suggested for a quick MRI determination of these cardiocircolatory pathologies. 相似文献
