We give the first examples of infinite sets of primes such that Hilbert's Tenth Problem over has a negative answer. In fact, we can take to be a density 1 set of primes. We show also that for some such there is a punctured elliptic curve over such that the topological closure of in has infinitely many connected components.

提出一种基于计算机单目视觉的飞行器副翼、襟翼、方向舵和升降舵角位移传感器的非接触标定方法.用共面的两个特征圆组成一标定靶固定在飞行器舵面上,用一台定焦数码摄像机对标定靶拍照,获得特征圆数字图像.经图像分析确定特征圆圆心及直径在像面上的透视投影位置和长度,根据透视投影逆变换原理建立物和像空间坐标关系的解算模型,进而导出靶面平面方程.飞行器舵面角位移则由标定靶面的法线方向余弦来表示.仿真结果表明,该方法具有标定过程快速、简单和准确的特点.不需事先标定摄像机内外部参量,其标定准确度优于0.2°.  相似文献

This study introduces a rollon–rolloff waste collection vehicle routing problem involving large containers that accumulate huge amounts of garbage at construction sites and shopping districts. In this problem, tractors move one container at a time between customer locations, a depot, disposal facilities, and container storage yards. The complicated constraints discussed in this study arise from having multiple disposal facilities, multiple container storage yards, seven service types of customer demands, different time windows for customer demands and facilities, various types and sizes of containers, and the lunch break of tractor drivers. In addition, real-world issues, such as changing service types, multiple demands at a customer’s location, and tractors with different work schedules, are dealt with. This study proposes a large neighborhood search based iterative heuristic approach consisting of several algorithms for the problem. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated by computational experiments using benchmark data, some instances of which are derived from real-world problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a rich vehicle routing problem incorporating various complexities found in real-life applications. The General Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP) is a combined load acceptance and generalised vehicle routing problem. Among the real-life requirements are time window restrictions, a heterogeneous vehicle fleet with different travel times, travel costs and capacity, multi-dimensional capacity constraints, order/vehicle compatibility constraints, orders with multiple pickup, delivery and service locations, different start and end locations for vehicles, and route restrictions for vehicles. The GVRP is highly constrained and the search space is likely to contain many solutions such that it is impossible to go from one solution to another using a single neighbourhood structure. Therefore, we propose iterative improvement approaches based on the idea of changing the neighbourhood structure during the search.  相似文献

Bennis and O’Toole [Bennis, W.G., O’Toole, J., 2005. How business schools lost their way. Harvard Business Review 83, 96–104] have recently argued that decision makers need guidance in ‘making decisions in the absence of clear facts’. As such, decision makers must be able to resourcefully use whatever limited information is available and advantageously portray its implications. Based on recently published theory which directly addresses this requirement, this paper demonstrates, through a practical example, how decision makers can make systemic decisions in situations characterized by extremely limited information and, furthermore, what form such decisions can take. Evidence is provided, therefore, that operational research can effectively address what appears to be a gap in management training.  相似文献

We formulate Lehmer's Problem concerning the Mahler measure of polynomials for general compact abelian groups, introducing a Lehmer constant for each such group. We show that all nontrivial connected compact groups have the same Lehmer constant and conjecture the value of the Lehmer constant for finite cyclic groups. We also show that if a group has infinitely many connected components, then its Lehmer constant vanishes.

The Drivers, Pressures, State, Impact and Response or DPSIR framework has been with us for over a decade now and it is widely used as a means to assess and measure and, eventually provide a guide to managing the environment. With its repertoire of diagnostic and analytical components the DPSIR can be argued to be a Problem Structuring Method or PSM. Criticisms of the framework abound but it has a resilience which is noteworthy. Some argue that DPSIR, by its nature, is a narrowly formulated, engineering device, incompatible with the multiple perspectives which human interaction in global ecology requires. Is there a value in DPSIR being more flexible in expression and experience of users? In this article it is shown how the DPSIR framework was applied within a multi-methodology approach called Imagine in a number of coastal management projects around the Mediterranean and in other contexts. The article argues that DPSIR, whilst admittedly limited in its scope and approach can, if applied in a participatory and systemic multi-methodology, combine with other tools and help to create outcomes of value to local populations.  相似文献

Experiments by using 2D–2C Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) were carried out and reported concerning the flow field past a generic car body (modified Ahmed body) which is equipped with wheels and wheel-arches. The Reynolds number was chosen to not exceed 2E+5 based on the height of the Ahmed body which makes it possible to investigate the same configuration by means of Large Eddy Simulation (LES). The wheels were rotating but the ground was stationary. The wheel-ground contact was realized by means of small rectangular openings below the wheels in the ground plane in which the wheels were immersed. The transition contour of the immersed wheels and the ground, as well as the rectangular openings below the wheels were properly sealed to prevent parasite flow and to provide well defined boundary conditions for an upcoming LES investigation.The flow field was measured in several planes with normal vectors pointing towards the directions normal to the free stream. Statistical characteristics of the flow are provided and discussed.  相似文献

Due to the variety of technical equipments and terminal layouts, research has produced a multitude of optimization models for seaside operations planning in container terminals. To provide a support in modeling problem characteristics and in suggesting applicable algorithms this paper reviews the relevant literature. For this purpose new classification schemes for berth allocation problems and quay crane scheduling problems are developed. Particular focus is put on integrated solution approaches which receive increasing importance for the terminal management.  相似文献
