A Novel and Efficient One‐Pot Synthesis of 2‐Aminopyrimidinones and Their Self‐Assembly

A three‐component reaction of benzaldehyde derivatives, methyl cyanoacetate, and guanidinium carbonate affords 2‐amino‐4‐aryl‐1,6‐dihydro‐6‐oxopyrimidine‐5‐carbonitriles and the four‐component reaction of benzaldehyde derivatives, methyl cyanoacetate, and guanidinium hydrochloride in the presence of piperidine leads to piperidinium salts of pyrimidinones. X‐ray crystallography data confirm self‐assembly and H‐bonding in these compounds.     

Monoterpenoids from the Fruit of Gardenia jasminoides

Eight new monoterpenoids, jasminoside J ( 1 ), jasminoside K ( 2 ), 6′‐O‐trans‐sinapoyljasminoside B ( 3 ), 6′‐O‐trans‐sinapoyljasminoside L ( 4 ), jasminosides M–P ( 5 – 8 ), together with three known analogues, jasminoside C ( 9 ), jasminol E ( 10 ), and sacranoside B ( 11 ), were isolated from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (Rubiaceae). Their structures were elucidated by spectral and chemical methods.     

Tri‐ and Tetrasubstituted N‐Phthalimidoaziridines in 1,3‐Dipolar Cycloaddition Reactions

The thermal reactions of the 2,2,3‐trisubstituted N‐phthalimidoaziridine 1a with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD), thioketones 4a – 4d , and dimethyl azodicarboxylate ( 5 ) proceed even at room temperature leading to the five‐membered cycloadducts 2a, 6 – 8 , and 12 , respectively, with retention of the spatial arrangement of the aziridine substituents, in contrast to the expectation based on the conservation of orbital symmetry in concerted reactions. The analogous reactions of the tetrasubstituted phthalimidoaziridine 1b with thioketones at 40° lead to the 1,3‐thiazolidine derivatives 10 and 11 as mixtures of diastereoisomers. These unexpected results may be explained by either the isomerization of the intermediate azomethine ylides or a non‐concerted stepwise cycloaddition reaction of these ylides with the dipolarophiles. The structures of some adducts have been determined by X‐ray crystallography.     

The Baylis–Hillman Adducts as Valuable Source for One‐Pot Multi‐Step Synthesis: A Facile Synthesis of Substituted Piperidin‐2‐ones

A facile, convenient, and one‐pot multi‐step synthesis of substituted piperidin‐2‐ones from the Baylis–Hillman alcohols derived from various aldehydes and acrylonitrile, involving Johnson–Claisen rearrangement, reduction of an α,β‐unsaturated nitrile moiety into the saturated amine‐skeleton, followed by cyclization, in an operationally simple procedure, is described.     

Curved ray tracing method for one-dimensional radiative transfer in the linear-anisotropic scattering medium with graded index

The curved ray tracing method (CRT) is extended to radiative transfer in the linear-anisotropic scattering medium with graded index from non-scattering medium. In this paper, the CRT is presented to solve one-dimensional radiative transfer in the linear-anisotropic scattering gray medium with a linear refractive index and two black boundaries. The predicted temperature distributions and radiative heat flux at radiative equilibrium are determined by the proposed method, and numerical results are compared with the data in references. The results show that the CRT has a good accuracy for radiative transfer in the linear-anisotropic scattering medium with graded index and the dimensionless emissive power and dimensionless radiative heat flux depend on the dimensionless refractive index gradient. It can also be seen that the dimensionless refractive index gradient has important effects on the temperature discontinuity at the boundaries.

以微蜂窝系统为背景,研究了以测试射线法和虚拟源射线跟踪法为代表的射线跟踪技术,并用这两种方法对射线跟踪进行建模,分析比较两种模型的优缺点.利用这两种模型对实际情况进行计算,精确地找出所有给定情况的传播路径并可视化;对多波干涉的振幅进行了统计学分析,对宽带多波干涉现象进行了数学建模,并分析了合成波的包络统计特性.     

Two New Meroterpenes from the Mangrove Endophytic Fungus Aspergillus sp. 085241B

Two new meroterpenes, ‘acetoxydehydroaustin B’ ( 1 ) and ‘1,2‐dihydro‐acetoxydehydroaustin B’ ( 2 ) were isolated in the form of a mixed crystal from the mangrove endophytic fungus Aspergillus sp. 085241B. Their structures and absolute configurations were determined by extensive analysis of their spectra and X‐ray diffraction data. In a preliminary bioassay, the mixed crystal did not exhibit activities against cancer cell lines of MDA‐MB‐435, SKBR3, HepG2, HEP3B, PC‐3, and A549, as well as against α‐glucosidase and tyrosinase.     

Two New Daphniphyllum Alkaloids from Daphniphyllum calycinum

Two new daphniphyllum alkaloids named 2‐hydroxyyunnandaphnine D ( 1 ) and methyl 7‐hydroxyhomodaphniphyllate ( 2 ), together with eight known alkaloids, daphnioldhanin D, calyciphylline F, calyciphylline B, deoxycalyciphylline B, daphnicyclidin H, macropodumine C, 9,10‐epoxycalycine A, and yunnandaphnine A, were isolated from the stems and leaves of Daphniphyllum calycinum. Their structures and relative configurations were established on the basis of spectral evidence (including 2D‐NMR) and subsequently confirmed by a single‐crystal X‐ray crystallographic diffraction analysis.     

Stability Concepts in Topological Dynamics by Nonstandard Methods

It is known that it is not possible to introduce C⁰ -structural stability for whole systems in topological dynamics. Using the methods of Nonstandard Analysis, we suggest four different purely topological stability concepts for dynamical systems on compact subsets of Rⁿ. Classically these amount to considering the space of all systems on a given subset of Rⁿ as the fundamental entity when deforming a continuous system (instead of the space of all continuous systems as is normally done in topological dynamics). For two of the introduced stability concepts, we will show that all minimal flows are stable in this sense. Besides this, we will show that one of our stability concepts is related to what is called the pseudo orbit tracing property in a recently published book by Aoki and Hiraide and compare some of our results to the theory of dynamical systems as presented there.
