Weak chaos and anomalous transport: a deterministic approach

We review how transport properties for chaotic dynamical systems may be studied through cycle expansions, and show how anomalies can be quantitatively described by hierarchical sequences of periodic orbits.     

Tikhonov regularization for a general nonlinear constrained optimization problem

The goal of this study is to analyze the Tikhonov regularization method as applied to a general nonlinear optimization problem that has been previously reduced to an unconstrained optimization problem. The stability properties of the method are examined, and its convergence is proved. The text was submitted by the author in English.     

On the Quasiconcave Bilevel Programming Problem

Bilevel programming involves two optimization problems where the constraint region of the first-level problem is implicitly determined by another optimization problem. In this paper, we consider the case in which both objective functions are quasiconcave and the constraint region common to both levels is a polyhedron. First, it is proved that this problem is equivalent to minimizing a quasiconcave function over a feasible region comprised of connected faces of the polyhedron. Consequently, there is an extreme point of the polyhedron that solves the problem. Finally, it is shown that this model includes the most important case where the objective functions are ratios of concave and convex functions     

Interpolation and basicity: Several variables entire functions of exponential type

The paper investigates the interpolation and basicity problem in Banach spaces of entire functions of exponential type in several variable. Some sufficient conditions for solvability of these problem and the explicit analytic form of the solutions are obtained.     

N维最弱受约束电子势模型的精确解

精确地求解了N维最弱受约束电子势模型束缚态的Schrodinger方程,得到了其能级和相对应的归一化径向波函数.在此基础上,运用广义拉盖尔多项式的级数展开得到了N维最弱受约束电子势模型径向矩阵元的通项表达式.

给出并证明了一种并行滤波器的设计算法．提出和论述了并行小波滤波器的基本设计方案．设计中采用了多种并行处理技术．     

Symbolic evaluation of coefficients in Airy-type asymptotic expansions

Computer algebra algorithms are developed for evaluating the coefficients in Airy-type asymptotic expansions that are obtained from integrals with a large parameter. The coefficients are defined from recursive schemes obtained from integration by parts. An application is given for the Weber parabolic cylinder function.

Generalized quasiconvexities,cone saddle points,and minimax theorem for vector-valued functions

We establish the following theorems: (i) an existence theorem for weak type generalized saddle points; (ii) an existence theorem for strong type generalized saddle points; (iii) a generalized minimax theorem for a vector-valued function. These theorems are generalizations and extensions of the author's recent results. For such extensions, we propose new concepts of convexity and continuity of vector-valued functions, which are weaker than ordinary ones. Some of the proofs are based on a few key observations and also on the Browder coincidence theorem or the Tychonoff fixed-point theorem. Also, the minimax theorem follows from the existence theorem for weak type generalized saddle points. The main spaces with mathematical structures considered are real locally convex spaces and real ordered topological vector spaces.This paper is dedicated to Professor Kensuke Tanaka on his sixtieth birthday.This paper was written when the author was a visitor at the Department of Mathematical Science, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan. Green's function for SH-waves in a cylindrically monoclinic material

Green's function for SH-waves in a cylindrically monoclinic material is considered for impulsive and time-harmonic sources. Closed form expressions for the Green's function are derived for a few limited values of anisotropic parameters. A very interesting time development of the wave front shape is illustrated and the wave front singularity is discussed for the transient SH-wave. Contours of the displacement amplitude for the time-harmonic wave are also shown.
