In this research, the experimental tests of quasi-static three-point bending and three-point bending fatigue were carried out for a ±25° biaxial braided carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) manufactured using vacuum assisted resin transfer moulding (VARTM). A finite element (FE) model was also set up for quasi-static testing and the prediction results revealed that local fibre volume fraction (FVF) is a primary source affecting the mechanical properties of braided CFRP. The fatigue of the braided CFRP was defined as three different stages according to the flexural modulus results. The damage modes of the test specimens were observed via a digital microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the process-induced defects were summarised. With compiled results and observations, this study provides a better understanding of failure and fatigue behaviour of biaxial braided composites and their flexural properties which offers a good basis for any further research in fibre volume fractions, structure design and manufacturing for braided CFRP. 相似文献

An empirical approach is presented for the density of aqueous multicomponentsolutions conforming to the linear isopiestic relation. This approach can be usedto estimate the densities of multicomponent systems from data on the constituentbinary subsystems at the same water activity. Predicted and measured densitiesfor 22 mixtures have been compared, using the simple Young's rule, theisopycnotic mixing rule of Teng and Lenzi, and the present method. The present methodand Young's rule give the most accurate predictions for strong electrolyte mixtureswithout common ions and for the mixtures with strong ion complexes, respectively.There is no universal best method for the strong electrolyte mixtures with commonions. An extensive comparison has also been given between apparent molarvolume predictions by Young's rule and by the new method. The two rules arerelatively better for the strong electrolyte mixtures without common ions andmixtures containing the transition metal chlorides, respectively. 从分子结构设计出发,合成了一系列新型刚性、高自由体积的聚酰亚胺炭膜前驱体,并制备了炭膜.采用热重分析(TGA)、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、X射线衍射(XRD)和高分辨透射电子显微镜(HRTEM)研究了不同聚酰亚胺前驱体的热分解特性及在热解炭化过程中化学结构、微结构的变化规律;测试了所制备炭膜的气体分离性能.结果表明,前驱体的自由体积分数显著影响炭膜的气体分离性能;聚合物结构越具刚性,自由体积越大,所得炭膜结构越疏松,极微孔道尺寸越大,越有利于气体分子在炭膜极微孔道中的渗透、扩散与传输.其中,刚性大体积基团芴基、酚酞cardo基团和六氟异丙基的引入能有效破坏分子链间的堆积,提高聚合物的自由体积,所形成炭膜的结构较疏松,均表现出优异的气体渗透性和分离选择性,超越了Robeson上限,解决了传统炭膜气体渗透性能低的问题.特别是采用羟基官能化聚酰亚胺前驱体制备的炭膜在保持较高气体分离选择性的同时,CO_2气体的渗透性高达24770 Barrer(1 Barrer≈7.5×10-18m2·s-1·Pa-1),可实现对CO_2的有效分离和捕集,展现出良好的商业化应用前景. 相似文献

Miniaturization of separation columns implies equally reduced vol- umes of injectors, detectors, and the connecting channels. Planar chip technology provides a powerful means for the fabrication of micron-sized structures such as channels. This is demonstrated by two examples. An optical absorbance detector chip exhibits the expected behavior of a 1 mm optical path length cell despite its volume of 1 nL. A capillary electrophoresis device allows integrated injections of 100 pL samples, efficiencies of 70,000 to 160,000 theoretical plates in 10 to 20 seconds, and external laser-induced fluorescence detection at any capillary length of choice between 5 and 50 mm. 相似文献

Eight independent cell lines accumulated ammonia in culture to concentrations between 1.3 and 2.9 mM. The growth inhibition of such concentrations of ammonium chloride when added to culture medium was variable. The cell lines tested could be divided into 3 groups depending on their growth response to 2 mM added NH4Cl. In the first group (293, HDF, Vero, and PQXB1/2) little (less than 14%) or no growth inhibition occurred. In the second group (McCoy and MDCK) a reduction in final cell yield of 50-60% was observed. The third group (HeLa and BHK) was most sensitive to the effects of NH4Cl with growth inhibition (greater than 75%) compared to controls. The growth inhibitory effect of added lactate up to 20 mM was negligible (less than 10%) for 3 cell lines, although one cell line (PQXB1/2) showed greater sensitivity. The interactive effects of ammonia and lactate were determined in a matrix experiment. At lactate (greater than 12 mM) and ammonia (1-4 mM), the growth inhibitory effects of the two components were synergistic. However, at low concentrations of lactate (less than 12 mM) the toxic effect of ammonia was reduced. A proposed mechanism for the sparing effect of lactate on ammonia toxicity is discussed. of binary liquid mixtures of quinoline with alkanols have been determined from densities at 30°C as a function of composition. The excess volumes are negative over the whole mole fraction range for all the mixtures and decrease with increasing length of alkanol (C1–C10). The VE data have been analyzed in terms of an approach which uses graph theoretical connectivity parameters of the third degrees for two components. The analysis gives information regarding associated species in the pure state and in the mixture. It is suggested that, in the mixture state, no change occurs in the association of alkanols. 相似文献

The connection between the dielectric and calorimetric relaxation behaviours of synthetic polyisoprene Cariflex IR 305 is studied. A similar comparison of dielectric and dilatometric results was described in [1]. The heat capacity was measured during heating of samples prepared with different thermal history. Experimental results were compared with the heat capacity curves calculated for a model based on the multiparameter theory of Kovacs et al. [4]. The model considers the relaxation system as being composed of a set of subsystems characterized by different relaxation times. The distribution of relaxation times and their temperature dependence were taken from the diclectric measurement. The relaxation time of a subsystem from posed to depend, not only on the actual, temperature of the sample, but also on the deviation of this subsystem from equilibrium, or alternatively, on the deviation of the system as a whole. The comparison between the measured and modeled curves shows that both influences must be taken into account in order to explain the experimental results.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. W. Model ethyl acrylate–methacrylic acid copolymer latices and latices of particles cross-linked by copolymerizing small amounts
of water-soluble N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide were prepared by nonseeded semicontinuous emulsion copolymerization. Dynamic and static light scattering
measurements indicated a slightly higher degree of polydispersity in the case of cross-linked particles, especially in the
initial stages of polymerization. The hydrodynamic volume of the alkalinized particles controlling the viscosity properties
of the dispersions decreased with the time of polymerization and in the case of cross-linked copolymer almost reached a constant
value at about 1 h. The different character of the particle structure was confirmed by differences in particle disintegration
after alkali addition or in the presence of methanol.
