Interactions among special embed-solitons for the (3+1)-dimensional Burgers equation

With the help of a modified mapping method and a new mapping method, we re-study the (3+1)-dimensional Burgers equation, and derive two families of variable separation solutions. By selecting appropriate functions in the variable separation solution, we discuss the interaction behaviors among taper-like, plateau-type rings, and rectangle-type embed-solitons in the periodic wave background. All the interaction behaviors are completely elastic, and no phase shift appears after interaction.     

Limit properties of induced mappings

Given a class of mappings f between continua, near- stands for the class of uniform limits of sequences of mappings from . Let 2^f and C(f) mean the induced mappings between hyperspaces. Relations are studied between the conditions: f near- , 2^f near- and C(f) near- . A special attention is paid to the classes of open and of monotone mappings.

Exact multiplicity of solutions to a diffusive logistic equation with harvesting

An Ambrosetti-Prodi type exact multiplicity result is proved for a diffusive logistic equation with harvesting. We show that a modified diffusive logistic mapping has exactly either zero, or one, or two pre-images depending on the harvesting rate. It implies that the original diffusive logistic equation with harvesting has at most two positive steady state solutions.     

Nonlinear Multivariate SAR of Lepidoptera Pheromones

Abstract

The combined use of the nonlinear mapping method with correspondence factor analysis allowed to derive interesting structure-chemoreception relationships in Lepidoptera. A chemotaxonomy of insects based on their responses to pheromones was also proposed.     

Deviations of the lepton mapping matrix from the Harrison-Perkins-Scott form

We propose a simple set of hypotheses governing the deviations of the leptonic mapping matrix from the Harrison-Perkins-Scott(HPS) form.These deviations are supposed to arise entirely from a perturbation of the mass matrix in the charged lepton sector.The perturbing matrix is assumed to be purely imaginary(thus maximally T-violating) and to have a strength in energy scale no greater(but perhaps smaller) than the muon mass.As we shall show,it then follows that the absolute value of the mapping matrix elements pertaining to the tau lepton deviate by no more than O((mμ/mτ)2) ≈ 3.5 × 10?3 from their HPS values.Assuming that(mμ/mτ)2 can be neglected,we derive two simple constraints on the four parameters θ12,θ23,θ31,and δ of the mapping matrix.These constraints are independent of the details of the imaginary T-violating perturbation of the charged lepton mass matrix.We also show that the e and μ parts of the mapping matrix have a definite form governed by two parameters α and β;any deviation of order mμ/mτ can be accommodated by adjusting these two parameters.     

On the solvability of implicit differential inclusions

In the paper, the set-valued covering mappings are studied. The statements on solvability, solution estimates, and well-posedness of inclusions with conditionally covering mappings are proved. The results obtained are applied to the investigation of differential inclusions unsolved for the unknown function. The statements on solvability, solution estimates, and well-posedness of these inclusions are derived.
