Let G be a finite group. For semi-free G-manifolds which are oriented in the sense of Waner [S. Waner, Equivariant RO(G)-graded bordism theories, Topology and its Applications 17 (1984) 1-26], the homotopy classes of G-equivariant maps into a G-sphere are described in terms of their degrees, and the degrees occurring are characterised in terms of congruences. This is first shown to be a stable problem, and then solved using methods of equivariant stable homotopy theory with respect to a semi-free G-universe. 相似文献

Let V={1,2,…,n}. A mapping p:V→Rr, where p1,…,pn are not contained in a proper hyper-plane is called an r-configuration. Let G=(V,E) be a simple connected graph on n vertices. Then an r-configuration p together with graph G, where adjacent vertices of G are constrained to stay the same distance apart, is called a bar-and-joint framework (or a framework) in Rr, and is denoted by G(p). In this paper we introduce the notion of dimensional rigidity of frameworks, and we study the problem of determining whether or not a given G(p) is dimensionally rigid. A given framework G(p) in Rr is said to be dimensionally rigid iff there does not exist a framework G(q) in Rs for s?r+1, such that ∥qi-qj∥2=∥pi-pj∥2 for all (i,j)∈E. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for G(p) to be dimensionally rigid, and we formulate the problem of checking the validity of these conditions as a semidefinite programming (SDP) problem. Let X be the total space of a nonlinear deformation of a rank two holomorphic vector bundle on a smooth rational curve, such that X has trivial canonical bundle and has sections. For a surface F, the Kauffman bracket skein module of F×[0,1], denoted K(F), admits a natural multiplication which makes it an algebra. When specialized at a complex number t, nonzero and not a root of unity, we have Kt(F), a vector space over C. In this paper, we will use the product-to-sum formula of Frohman and Gelca to show that the vector space Kt(T2) has five distinct traces. One trace, the Yang-Mills measure, is obtained by picking off the coefficient of the empty skein. The other four traces on Kt(T2) correspond to the four singular points of the moduli space of flat SU(2)-connections on the torus. 相似文献

We investigate separability questions for the mapping class group of a surface. While this group is not subgroup separable in general, we prove a large family of interesting subgroups are separable. This includes many classically studied subgroups such as solvable subgroups, Heegaard and Handlebody groups, geometric subgroups, and all the terms in the Johnson filtration. 相似文献

We consider the support problem of Erdös in the context of l-adic representations of the absolute Galois group of a number field. Main applications of the results of the paper concern Galois cohomology of the Tate module of abelian varieties with real and complex multiplications, the algebraic K-theory groups of number fields and the integral homology of the general linear group of rings of integers. It can be conjectured that the colored Jones function of a knot can be computed in terms of counting paths on the graph of
a planar projection of a knot. On the combinatorial level, the colored Jones function can be replaced by its weight system.
We give two curious formulas for the weight system of a colored Jones function: one in terms of the permanent of a matrix
associated to a chord diagram, and another in terms of counting paths of intersecting chords.

In this paper the neo-classical economic Solow-Swan model (1956) has been improved replacing its Malthusian manpower law with
the Verhulst (logistic) one. The relevant ordinary differential equation for the ratio capital/work has been then integrated
in closed form via the Hypergeometric function2

1. The logistic growth injection for the manpower is detected to induce a more slow dynamics onto the Solow-Swan system, which
keeps its stability. Increasing developments are displayed as the technologic progress rises. Further sceneries are tested
and the congruence of the new solution with the classical one is shown switching to zero the selflimitation coefficent in
the logistic law.
