Abstract

In this article, synthesis of graft copolymers of methyl methacrylate (MMA) onto Saccharum spontaneum L. fiber under the influence of microwave radiation (MWR) was carried out. Different reaction parameters such as time, initiator molar ratio, monomer concentrations, microwave power, pH, and solvent were optimized for maximum graft yield (62.3%). The graft copolymers thus formed were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, XRD, and TGA, DTA, and DTG techniques. Moreover, graft copolymers have been found to be more moisture resistant and also showed higher chemical and thermal resistance.  相似文献

We consider a catalytic branching Brownian motion with general branching which takes place only when particles are at the origin at a rate β>0 on the local time scale. We first establish a spine decomposition for the case wherein the particles have a positive probability of having no children. Then using this tool, we obtain results regarding the asymptotic behavior of the number of particles above λt at time t for λ>0. Under an L log L condition, we prove a strong law of large numbers for this catalytic branching Brownian motion.  相似文献

Abstract

An aliphatic ester of hydroxysalicylic acid (6), reported for the first time from a natural source in addition to five known compounds were isolated from the fermented Carica papaya L. preparation, a commercialized functional food. The known compounds were identified as 5-hydroxymethylfurfuraldehyde (1), trans-caffeic acid (2), butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (butylparaben) (3), lycopene (4), benzyl isothiocyanate (5). Compounds 1 and 3 were reported for the first time from Papaya fruits through this study. The new compound showed a moderate antioxidant activity and a potent hair growth stimulating activity in vitro.  相似文献

A nitrogen-doped carbon-supported Co catalyst (Co/N-C-800) was discovered to be highly active for the reductive amination of carbonyl compounds with NH3 and the hydrogenation of nitriles into primary amines using H2 as the hydrogen source. Structurally diverse carbonyl compounds were selectively transformed into primary amines with good to excellent yields (82.8–99.6%) under mild conditions. The Co/N-C-800 catalyst showed comparable or better catalytic performance than the reported noble metal catalysts. The Co/N-C-800 catalyst also showed high activity for the hydrogenation of nitriles, affording the corresponding primary amines with high yields (81.7–99.0%). An overall reaction mechanism is proposed for the reductive amination of benzaldehyde and the hydrogenation of benzonitrile, which involves the same intermediates of phenylmethanimine and N-benzylidenebenzylamine.  相似文献

It is thought that the therapeutic efficacy of Morus alba L. is determined by its biological compounds. We investigated the chemical differences in the medicinal parts of M. alba by analyzing a total of 57 samples (15 root barks, 11 twigs, 12 fruits, and 19 leaves). Twelve marker compounds, including seven flavonoids, two stilbenoids, two phenolic acids, and a coumarin, were quantitatively analyzed using a high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector and chemometric analyses (principal component and heatmap analysis). The results demonstrated that the levels and compositions of the marker compounds varied in each medicinal part. The leaves contained higher levels of six compounds, the root barks contained higher levels of four compounds, and the twigs contained higher levels of two compounds. The results of chemometric analysis showed clustering of the samples according to the medicinal part, with the marker compounds strongly associated with each part: mulberroside A, taxifolin, kuwanon G, and morusin for the root barks; 4-hydroxycinnamic acid and oxyresveratrol for the twigs and skimmin; chlorogenic acid, rutin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, and quercitrin for the leaves. Our approach plays a fundamental role in the quality evaluation and further understanding of biological actions of herbal medicines derived from various medicinal plant parts.  相似文献

 Primary methods of measurement have a central function in metrology. They are an essential component in the realisation of the SI units and therefore are indispensable for establishing traceability of measurements of all kinds of physical quantities to the corresponding SI units. This is also true for chemical analysis. Gravimetry, titrimetry, coulometry, and isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) are evaluated with regard to their potential to be primary methods according to a general definition of primary methods recently given by the Comité Consultatif pour la Quantité de Matière (CCQM). Optical absorption spectrometry and methods based on colligative properties are also considered.
