Summary Linear unbiased estimation of the mean of a random variable in Hilbert space is treated in the typical case where the mean belongs to a known subspace. The best linear estimate depends on the underlying covariance operatorB 0 of the random variable. This operatorB 0, however, is rarely completely known, so that an auxiliary operatorB is used to compute a “pseudo-best” estimate. It is shown that the best and the pseudo-best estimates coincide, if and only ifB 0 B −1 leavesM invariant. Applications to linear regression are to be found in the references.  相似文献

Consider the Almost Mathieu operator H = cos 2(k +)+ on the lattice. It is shown that for large , the integrated density of states is Hölder continuous of exponent < . This result gives a precise version in the perturbative regime of recent work by M. Goldstein and W. Schlag on Hölder regularity of the integrated density of states for 1D quasi-periodic lattice Schrödinger operators, assuming positivity of the Lyapunov exponent (and proven by different means). Our approach provides also a new way to control Green's functions, in the spirit of the author's work in KAM theory. It is by no means restricted to the cosine-potential and extends to band operators.  相似文献

In similar to the derivation of phase angle operator conjugate to the number operator by Arroyo Carrasco-Moya Cessay we deduce the Hermitian phase operators that are conjugate to the two-mode number-difference operator and the three-mode number combination operator. There are different constructions of the flux of triad in loop quantum gravity, namely the fundamental and alternative flux operators. In parallel to the consistency check on the two versions of operator by the algebraic calculus in the literature, we check their consistency by the graphical calculus. Our calculation based on the original Brink graphical method is obviously simpler than the algebraic calculation. It turns out that our consistency check fixes the regulating factor κreg of the Ashtekar-Lewandowski volume operator as1/2, which corrects its previous value in the literature.  相似文献

This paper is the first of the author’s three articles on stability in the Liouville theorem on the Heisenberg group. The aim is to prove that each mapping with bounded distortion of a John domain on the Heisenberg group is close to a conformal mapping with order of closeness \(\sqrt {K - 1} \) in the uniform norm and order of closeness K ? 1 in the Sobolev norm L p 1 for all \(p < \tfrac{C}{{K - 1}}\).In the present article we study integrability of mappings with bounded specific oscillation on spaces of homogeneous type. As an example, we consider mappings with bounded distortion on the Heisenberg group. We prove that a mapping with bounded distortion belongs to the Sobolev class W p,loc 1 , where p → ∞ as the distortion coefficient tends to 1.  相似文献
