We construct Lp‐estimates for the inhomogeneous Oseen system studied in a two‐dimensional exterior domain Ω with inhomogeneous slip boundary conditions. The kernel of the paper is a result for the half space ?. Analysis of this model system shows us a parabolic character of the studied problem, resulting as an appearance of the wake region behind the obstacle. Main tools are given by the Fourier analysis to obtain the maximal regularity estimates. The results imply the solvability for the Navier–Stokes system for small velocity at infinity. We study time-periodic Oseen flows past a rotating body in ℝ3 proving weighted a priori estimates in Lq-spaces using Muckenhoupt weights. After a time-dependent change of coordinates the problem is reduced to a stationary Oseen equation with the additional terms (ω ∧ x) ⋅ ∇ u and −ω ∧ u in the equation of momentum where ω denotes the angular velocity. Due to the asymmetry of Oseen flow and to describe its wake we use anisotropic Muckenhoupt weights, a weighted theory of Littlewood–Paley decomposition and of maximal operators as well as one-sided univariate weights, one-sided maximal operators and a new version of Jones' factorization theorem. This paper is concerned with the investigation of a generalized Navier–Stokes equation for non-Newtonian fluids of Bingham-type (GNSE, for short) involving a multivalued and nonmonotone slip boundary condition formulated by the generalized Clarke subdifferential of a locally Lipschitz superpotential, a no leak boundary condition, and an implicit obstacle inequality. We obtain the weak formulation of (GNSE) which is a generalized quasi-variational–hemivariational inequality. By introducing an Oseen model as an auxiliary (intermediated) problem and employing Kakutani-Ky Fan theorem for multivalued operators as well as the theory of nonsmooth analysis, an existence theorem to (GNSE) is established. 相似文献

Incompressible unsteady Navier–Stokes equations in pressure–velocity variables are considered. By use of the implicit and semi‐implicit schemes presented the resulting system of linear equations can be solved by a robust and efficient iterative method. This iterative solver is constructed for the system of linearized Navier–Stokes equations. The Schur complement technique is used. We present a new approach of building a non‐symmetric preconditioner to solve a non‐symmetric problem of convection–diffusion and saddle‐point type. It is shown that handling the differential equations properly results in constructing efficient solvers for the corresponding finite linear algebra systems. The method has good performance for various ranges of viscosity and can be used both for 2D and 3D problems. The analysis of the method is still partly heuristic, however, the mathematically rigorous results are proved for certain cases. The proof is based on energy estimates and basic properties of the underlying partial differential equations. Numerical results are provided. We introduce and analyze the local discontinuous Galerkin method for the Oseen equations of incompressible fluid flow. For a class of shape-regular meshes with hanging nodes, we derive optimal a priori estimates for the errors in the velocity and the pressure in - and negative-order norms. Numerical experiments are presented which verify these theoretical results and show that the method performs well for a wide range of Reynolds numbers.

We study different variants of the augmented Lagrangian (AL)‐based block‐triangular preconditioner introduced by the first two authors in [SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 2006; 28 : 2095–2113]. The preconditioners are used to accelerate the convergence of the Generalized Minimal Residual method (GMRES) applied to various finite element and Marker‐and‐Cell discretizations of the Oseen problem in two and three space dimensions. Both steady and unsteady problems are considered. Numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed preconditioners for a wide range of problem parameters. Implementation on parallel architectures is also considered. The AL‐based approach is further generalized to deal with linear systems from stabilized finite element discretizations.
