The polytropic filtration equation with generalized Fisher–KPP sources is considered. We will show that the equation may have finite times oscillatory traveling waves, and try to give a complete classification by virtue of a singular exponent in the source according to the finiteness of the oscillatory times of traveling waves. 相似文献

This paper presents an interpolatory type integration rule for the numerical evaluation of Cauchy principal value integrals of oscillatory integrands , where -1<τ<1, for a given smooth function f(x). The proposed method is constructed by interpolating f(x) at practical Chebyshev points and subtracting out the singularity. A numerically stable procedure is obtained and the corresponding algorithm can be implemented by fast Fourier transform. Van der Corput's lemma gives an upper bound for one-dimensional oscillatory integrals that depends only on a lower bound for some derivative of the phase, not on any upper bound of any sort. We establish generalizations to higher dimensions, in which the only hypothesis is that a partial derivative of the phase is assumed bounded below by a positive constant. Analogous upper bounds for measures of sublevel sets are also obtained. The analysis, particularly for the sublevel set estimates, has a more combinatorial flavour than in the one-dimensional case.

A steady longitudinal current in the nearshore can, in some conditions, support oscillations known as vorticity waves or shear waves. In this article, we consider a family of nonlinear evolution equations derived by Shrira and Voronovitch to describe the dynamics of vorticity waves near the coastal line and make the study of the dispersion and smoothing properties of the associated nonlocal free problems. The author surveys a few examples of boundary layers for which the Prandtl boundary layer theory can be rigorously validated. All of them are associated with the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for Newtonian fluids equipped with various Dirichlet boundary conditions (specified velocity). These examples include a family of (nonlinear 3D) plane parallel flows, a family of (nonlinear) parallel pipe flows, as well as flows with uniform injection and suction at the boundary. We also identify a key ingredient in establishing the validity of the Prandtl type theory, i.e., a spectral constraint on the approximate solution to the Navier-Stokes system constructed by combining the inviscid solution and the solution to the Prandtl type system. This is an additional difficulty besides the wellknown issue related to the well-posedness of the Prandtl type system. It seems that the main obstruction to the verification of the spectral constraint condition is the possible separation of boundary layers. A common theme of these examples is the inhibition of separation of boundary layers either via suppressing the velocity normal to the boundary or by injection and suction at the boundary so that the spectral constraint can be verified.
