In implantable materials, surface topography and chemistry are the most important in the effective osseointegration and interaction with drug molecules. Therefore, structural and surface modifications of nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2) layers are reported in the present work. In particular, the modification of annealed TiO2 samples with —OH groups and silane derivatives, confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, is shown. Moreover, the ibuprofen release process was studied regarding the desorption-desorption-diffusion (DDD) kinetic model. The results proved that the most significant impact on the release profile is annealing, and further surface modifications did not change its kinetics. Additionally, the cell adhesion and proliferation were examined based on the MTS test and immunofluorescent staining. The obtained data showed that the proposed changes in the surface chemistry enhance the samples’ hydrophilicity. Moreover, improvements in the adhesion and proliferation of the MG-63 cells were observed. 相似文献

Natural convection in an internally heated porous bed of height and diameter of 450 mm and 500 mm, respectively, and superposed with the fluid layer has been experimentally investigated. The onset of natural convection in the bed is indicated by change in the rate of temperature rise within the bed. An empirical model based on local Nusselt number and local Rayleigh number has been developed. A comparison of the present model with the models in literature is made to draw out the differences between the local heat transfer of large multidimensional beds and the average heat transfer of small beds. 相似文献

System performance of a solid single-fluid compact heat exchanger with tree-like flow passages has been experimentally examined. The results, presented in the form of commonly defined dimensionless parameters, demonstrate that system performance can be characterized in a mode similar to traditional compact heat exchanger designs. Pressure forces were found to dominate inertia forces at low Reynolds numbers. Correlations of the Euler number, Nusselt number, Colburn factor, and friction factor as a function of Reynolds number were utilized to compare system performance to traditional two-fluid compact heat exchangers. 相似文献

In this paper, wax deposition in waxy crude oil transportation process was regarded as an irreversible process. Based on the entropy production rate equations, the linear phenomenological equations for the diffusion of wax molecules were derived by using the theory and method of non-equilibrium thermodynamics and heat-mass transfer. Combined with the mass and energy conservation laws, the differential equations of heat and mass transfer in the process of pipeline transportation were established, and the molecular diffusion rate of dissolved wax was solved. On the basis of this, the mathematical model of actual wax deposition rate was established by considering the attachment process and scouring process of the wax molecules. Taking an oil pipeline in Daqing as an example, the change law and influencing factors of the wax molecular diffusion coefficient, the wax deposition rate, and the net wax deposition rate were studied by numerical simulation. The wax deposition rate test results of the laboratory loop test were compared with the theoretical calculation results in order to analyze the accuracy and the adaptability of heat and mass coupling mechanism and to provide a theoretical basis for further study of wax deposition in the process of waxy oil pipeline transportation. 相似文献

Pool boiling heat transfer performances of Cu-Al2O3-coated copper surfaces have been studied experimentally for its potential use in heat transfer applications. In the present study, a two-step electrochemical deposition method is examined. This method provides an easy control on surface properties such as porosity and coating thickness. The deposition method is studied carefully and responsible surface morphology parameters are reported. After performing the pool boiling experiments on coated surfaces with DI water, the maximum critical heat flux of 1800 kW/m2 and heat transfer coefficient of 193 kW/m2 K, which are 68% and 260% higher than that of bare surface, respectively. 相似文献

AA8xxx alloys employed in the HVAC&R sector (heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigerating) were investigated to highlight the effect of active surface layers in heat-exchanger fins. The local behavior of the surface and the bulk of the alloy sheets was studied by means of an electrochemical microcell in combination with glow-discharge optical-emission spectrometry. Surface layers strongly enhance the electrochemical activity of the fin material. This is related to the segregation of Mg and other elements (Sn) strongly impairing the protective behavior of the oxide film generated during thermomechanical processing. 相似文献

The analytic properties of the -function for a Laplace operator on a generalised cone
are studied in some detail using Cheeger's approach and explicit expressions are given. In the compact case, the -function of the Laplace operator turns out to be singular at the origin. 中频感应加热提拉法生长了低钕掺杂的GdVO_4晶体,用机械分析仪来测量Nd:GdVO_4晶体的热膨胀系数,沿c方向的热膨胀系数为7.42×10~(-6)/K,而沿α方向的热膨胀系数只有1.05×10~(-6)/K,比同比Nd_(0.0045)Y_(0.9946)VO_4晶体样品测量结果小。差示扫描热计法测量了Nd:GdVO_4晶体的比热,298K时为0.52J/g·K。首次用激光脉冲法测量了Nd:GdVO_4晶体的室温热导率。实验表明,Nd:GdVO_4晶体沿<001>方向的热导率数值达11.4W/m·K,比Nd:YAG晶体高(测得10.7W/m·K),其<100>方向的热导率为10.1W/m·K。激光实验显示在较高功率泵浦激光输出上Nd:GdVO_4晶体具有比Nd:YVO_4晶体更加优良的性能。 相似文献

The natural convection boundary-layer flow on a solid verticalsurface with heat generated within the boundary layer at a rateproportional to (T – T)p (p 1) is considered. The surfaceis held at the ambient temperature T except near the leadingedge where it is held at a temperature above ambient. The behaviourof the flow as it develops from the leading edge is examinedand is seen to become independent of the initial heat input;however, it does depend strongly on the exponent p. For 1 p 2, the local heating eventually dominates at large distancesand there is a convective flow driven by this mechanism. Forp 4, the local heating does not have a significant effect,the fluid temperature remains relatively small throughout andthe heat transfer dies out through a wall jet flow.
