Asymptotic theorems for estimating the distribution function under random truncation

Representation theorem and local asymptotic minimax theorem are derived for nonparametric estimators of the distribution function on the basis of randomly truncated data. The convolution-type representation theorem asserts that the limiting process of any regular estimator of the distribution function is at least as dispersed as the limiting process of the product-limit estimator. The theorems are similar to those results for the complete data case due to Beran (1977, Ann. Statist., 5, 400–404) and for the censored data case due to Wellner (1982, Ann. Statist., 10, 595–602). Both likelihood and functional approaches are considered and the proofs rely on the method of Begun et al. (1983, Ann. Indecomposable Representations of the Square—Root Lie Algebras of Vector Type and Their Boson Realizations

The explicit expressions for indecomposable representations of nine square-root Lie algebras of vector type, R_νλ (ν, λ=0, ±1), are obtained on the space of universal enveloping algebra of two-state Heisenberg-Weyl algebra, the invariant subspaces and the quotient spaces. From Fock representations corresponding to these indecomposable representations, the inhomogeneous boson realizations of R_νλ are given. The expectation values of R_νλ in the angular momentum coherent states are calculated as well as the corresponding classical limits.

Topologically Irreducible Representations and Radicals in Banach Algebras

It is shown that the topologically irreducible representationsof a normed algebra define a certain topological radical inthe same way that the strictly irreducible representations definethe Jacobson radical and that this radical can be strictly smallerthan the Jacobson radical. Two-Mode Wigner Operator in 〈ξ| Representation and 〈τ| Representation

We derive the two-mode Wigner operator in the 〈ξ| representation and 〈τ| representation, where |ξ〉 is common eigenvector of the mass-weighted relative coordinate and the mass-combinatorial momentum.and |τ〉 common eigenvector of the mass-weighted relative coordinate and the mass-combinatorial momentum. As an application,we calculate the Wigner function of some two-mode state.     

Propagation properties of ultrashort chirped pulsed Gaussian beams in the free space

Based on the Rayleigh diffraction integral and complex analytical signal representation, the free-space analytical propagation equation and its Fourier spectrum for ultrashort chirped pulsed Gaussian beams with constant diffraction length are derived. The effect of chirp parameter on the spatiotemporal and spectral properties is illustrated with analytical formulas and numerical calculation results. It is shown that the axial spectra of ultrashort chirped pulsed Gaussian beams become broadened with increasing chirp parameter. For single optical cycle, the transversal intensity distribution is affected by increasing chirp parameter, but almost not affected for several optical cycles. Moreover, the positive or negative sign of the chirp parameter has no effect on the spectral distribution and intensity distribution.     

Hermitian Operators Conjugate to Two-Mode Number-Difference Operator Studied in Entangled State Representation

In similar to the derivation of phase angle operator conjugate to the number operator by Arroyo Carrasco-Moya Cessay we deduce the Hermitian phase operators that are conjugate to the two-mode number-difference operator and the three-mode number combination operator. It is shown that these operators are on the same footing in the entangled state representation as the one of Turski in the coherent state representation.     

Husimi Operator for Describing Probability Distribution of Electron States in Uniform Magnetic Field Studied by Virtue of Entangled State Representation

For the first time we introduce an operator Δ _h (γ,ε;κ) for studying Husimi distribution function in phase space (γ,ε) for electron’s states in uniform magnetic field, where κ is the Gaussian spatial width parameter. The marginal distributions of the Husimi function are Gaussian-broadened version of the Wigner marginal distributions. Using the Wigner operator in the entangled state 〈λ | representation we find that Δ _h (γ,ε;κ) is just a pure squeezed coherent state density operator | γ,ε〉 _{κ κ} 〈γ,ε |, which brings much convenience for studying Husimi distribution, so we name Δ _h (γ,ε;κ) the Husimi operator. We then derive Husimi operator’s normally ordered form that provides us with an operator version to examine various properties of the Husimi distribution.
