On Lie Algebra Crossed Modules

Abstract

The goal of this article is to construct a crossed module representing the cocycle 〈[,],〉 generating H ³(;?) for a simple complex Lie algebra .     

A Note on the Associated Primes of Local Cohomology Modules

In this note we give a simple proof of the following result: Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring,  an ideal of R and M a finite R-module, if H_ ⁱ (M) has finite support for all i < n, then Ass(H_ ⁿ (M)) is finite.     

On Bernstein Algebras Satisfying Chain Conditions

Our aim in this article is to study Noetherian and Artinian Bernstein algebras. We show that for Bernstein algebras which are either Jordan or nuclear, each of the Noetherian and Artinian conditions implies finite dimensionality. This result fails for general Noetherian or Artinian Bernstein algebras. We also investigate the relationships between the three finiteness conditions: Noetherian, Artinian, and finitely generated. Especially, we prove that Noetherian Bernstein algebras are finitely generated.     

Feebly Baer Rings and Modules

A right module M over a ring R is called feebly Baer if, whenever xa = 0 with x ∈ M and a ∈ R, there exists e² = e ∈ R such that xe = 0 and ea = a. The ring R is called feebly Baer if R_R is a feebly Baer module. These notions are motivated by the commutative analog discussed in a recent paper by Knox, Levy, McGovern, and Shapiro [6 Knox , M. L. , Levy , R. , McGovern , W. Wm. , Shapiro , J. ( 2009 ) Generalizations of complemented rings with applications to rings of functions. . J. Alg. Appl. 8 ( 1 ): 17 – 40 .[Crossref] , [Google Scholar]]. Basic properties of feebly Baer rings and modules are proved, and their connections with von Neumann regular rings are addressed.     

Pre-Projective Parts of Tilting Quivers Over Certain Path Algebras

Happel and Unger defined a partial order on the set of basic tilting modules. We study the poset of basic preprojective tilting modules over path algebras of representation-infinite type. First we will give a criterion for Ext-vanishing for preprojective modules. With the using of this result, we will give combinatorial characterizations of the poset of basic preprojective tilting modules. Finally, we will see the structure of a preprojective part of tilting quivers.
