The feasibility of controlled ultrafast pumping in the mid IR and the probe of the subsequent intramolecular dynamics is illustrated for vibrational excitation of the two metal carbonyls W(CO)6 and Mn(CO)5Br in solution. Pumping and probing is performed by short, 130 fs, pulses centered at about 2000 cm−1. Frequency resolved measurements of the time delayed probe pulse are performed. Measured two dimensional spectra are fitted by a kinetic scheme that models the vibrational dynamics. Fast relaxation is solvent induced with the solvent acting also as a heat bath. The (several) probe signals in the experiment can be thought of as the response of a finite state logic machine. This suggests that the molecular machine can act as an ultrafast (petaHertz) processor. The number of internal (memory) states of the machine is determined by the number of vibrational states in the kinetic scheme that can fit the observed relaxation. The number of outputs of the machine is the number of the several different available probe signals. It is shown that the machine is massively parallel because in each (sub ps) time step it produces an entire vector as an output and that each component of the output vector is, by itself, a transform over the input. The aim of the paper is to supply tools for developing the proposed mathematical semantic theory of anthropoecosystems. The paper constructs the semantic language which is equivalent (according to transferring information) to any of natural languages. The operation logic is settled. Its well-defined formulas are semantic language formulas. Its reasoning is realized by production system blocks, each being the sequence of modus ponens rules. Operation logic represents a model how humans, maybe, realize information processing. It allows contradictions and can avoid the dimensionality deadlock. The universal program for answering questions is presented. The introduction to formulary theory is given by means of which the notion of the understanding of systems is formulated. It enables to understand and control very large systems by computer artificial intelligence on the basis of qualitative information and why-role how-roles pairs. In the paper the notions like humans, language, animals, understanding, consciousness, are simplified modelling notions which are only similar to the real existing ones. 相似文献

We demonstrate photon antibunching and deterministic single-photon operation using single InGaAs/AlGaAs semiconductor quantum dots grown on pre-patterned substrates. Additionally, we observe several types of single-photon cascades involving biexcitonic and other excitonic complexes and have modeled this behavior using numerical Monte-Carlo simulations. Mathematical modeling of evolutionary states of non-homogeneous multi-layer shallow shells with orthotropic initial imperfections belongs to one of the most important and necessary steps while constructing numerous technical devices, as well as aviation and ship structural members. In first part of the paper fundamental hypotheses are formulated which allow us to derive Hamilton–Ostrogradsky equations. The latter yield equations governing shell behavior within the applied hypotheses and modified Pelekh–Sheremetev conditions. The aim of second part of the paper is to formulate fundamental hypotheses in order to construct coupled boundary problems of thermo-elasticity which are used in non-classical mathematical models for multi-layer shallow shells with initial imperfections. In addition, a coupled problem for multi-layer shell taking into account a 3D heat transfer equation is formulated. Third part of the paper introduces necessary phase spaces for the second boundary value problem for evolutionary equations, defining the coupled problem of thermo-elasticity for a simply supported shallow shell. The theorem regarding uniqueness of the mentioned boundary value problem is proved. It is also proved that the approximate solution regarding the second boundary value problem defining condition for the thermo-mechanical evolution for rectangular shallow homogeneous and isotropic shells can be found using the Bubnov–Galerkin method. 相似文献

From the viewpoint of application of nonlinear dynamics, we report multifunctional operation in a single microelectromechanical system (MEMS) resonator. This paper addresses a reprogrammable logic-memory device that uses a nonlinear MEMS resonator with multi-states. In order to develop the reprogrammable logic-memory device, we discuss the nonlinear dynamics of the MEMS resonator with and without control input as logic and memory operations. Through the experiments and numerical simulations, we realize the reprogrammable logic function that consists of OR/AND gate by adjusting the excitation amplitude and the memory function by storing logic information in the single nonlinear MEMS resonator. 相似文献
