Densities and viscosities of the binary mixtures of propylene carbonate with benzene, 1,4-dimethylbenzene and ethylbenzene were measured over the entire mole fraction range at 288.15, 298.15 and 308.15?K. Using the experimental values of densities and viscosities the excess molar volumes and viscosity deviations were calculated. The results were fitted by Redlich–Kister equation. The results were discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The solubilities of bosentan (BST) in binary aqueous mixtures of 2-propanol at temperatures ranging from 293.15 to 313.15 K were determined using a shake-flask method. The produced data were modelled with the Jouyban-Acree-van’t Hoff model and difference between the predicted data and experimental ones were illustrated by percent average relative deviations (%ARD). Moreover, the thermodynamic functions of dissolution for BST in the aqueous 2-propanol solutions were computed which suggest that the dissolution process is endothermic and not spontaneous.  相似文献

The question of the existence and correct form of equations describing Brownian motion on a manifold cannot be answered by mathematics alone, but requires a study of the underlying physics. As in classical mechanics, manifolds enter through the transformation of variables needed to account for the presence of constraints. The constraints are either due to a physical agency that forces the motion to remain on a manifold, or they represent conserved quantities of the equation of motion themselves. Also the Brownian motion is described either by a Smoluchowski diffusion equation or by a Kramers equation. The four cases lead to the following conclusions, (i) Smoluchowski diffusion with a conserved quantity reduces to a diffusion equation on the manifold; (ii) The same is true for diffusion with a physical constraint in three dimensions, but in more dimensions it may happen thatno autonomous equation on the manifold results; (iii) A Kramers equation with a conserved quantity reduces to an equation on the manifold, but in general not of the form of a Kramers equation; (iv) The Kramers equation with a physical constraint reduces to an autonomous Kramers equation on the manifold only for a special shape of that constraint. Throughout, only a certain type of physical constraints has been envisaged, and global questions are ignored. Finally, the customary heuristic construction of a Fokker-Planck equation for a mechanical system on a manifold is demonstrated for the case of Brownian rotation of a rigid body, and its shortcomings are emphasized.  相似文献

A simple independent-quark-model based on the Dirac equation with logarithmic potential is used to calculate several properties of octet baryons such as magnetic moment, the axial vector coupling constantg A (n) for neutronβ-decay and the charge radius of the proton. We extend our method of systematic removal of secular terms in a singular perturbation treatment of the Boltzmann equation with small Knudsen numbers to the initial layer. The requirement that the solution through the initial layer should connect smoothly to the normal solution removes an ambiguity noted in our previous paper. We show that removal of secular terms improves Grad's solution for the initial layer and reintroduces soundlike modes associated with higher moments, first found by Wang Chang and Uhlenbeck.  相似文献

The velocity distribution of a charged hard rod coupled to an external field and moving in a neutral equilibrium hard rod gas is studied on the basis of Boltzmann's equation. The exact stationary solution is found. Above a threshold value the field becomes effective in the high-velocity region slowing down the decay of the velocity distribution. The drift velocity and the mean kinetic energy are discussed as functions of the field.  相似文献

The analysis is carried out of the response of the center of gravity (dipole moment) of the distribution of noninteracting thermalized nonlinear oscillators to a sinusoidal driving force. Heat bath coupling is modeled by damping and noise. The driving is weak, but the frequency is resonant, so that there is a nonlinear resonance in the phase space. The response has a linear part that can be obtained from the perturbation analysis and a small nonlinear correction that is specific for the resonant structure.  相似文献
