Problems of an additional experiment

In some situations estimates of unknown parameters must be corrected by additional measurements. It is in principle no problem to calculate the corrected estimates, however, it is of more interest to find formulae for correction itself. The formulae enable us to design an additional experiment and to judge its usefulness. The aim of the paper is to find such formulae for several situations. 本文对具有附加信息的线性回归模型中的混合估计与最小二乘估计给出了一种新的相对效率,研究了新的相对效率与其它几种相对效率的关系,得出了新的相对效率的上、下界.     

Traces of functions with a dominating mixed derivative in ℝ<Superscript>3</Superscript>

We investigate traces of functions, belonging to a class of functions with dominating mixed smoothness in ℝ³, with respect to planes in oblique position. In comparison with the classical theory for isotropic spaces a few new phenomenona occur. We shall present two different approaches. One is based on the use of the Fourier transform and restricted to p = 2. The other one is applicable in the general case of Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel spaces and based on atomic decompositions.     

Ethylene polymerization by novel Ziegler–Natta‐type catalysts obtained in situ by the oxidative addition of 8‐hydroxyquinoline‐based ligands to bis(1,5‐cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) and methylaluminoxane

Novel catalytic systems, prepared in situ by the oxidative addition of 8‐hydroxyquinoline ligands to bis(1,5‐cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) and activated by methylaluminoxane, were studied in ethylene polymerization. When 8‐hydroxyquinoline was employed, only oligomeric products were obtained. On the contrary, 5,7‐dinitro‐8‐hydroxyquinoline gave linear polyethylene (PE), but with a modest activity. For the catalyst based on 5‐nitro‐8‐hydroxyquinoline, the productivity was largely dependent on the content of free trimethylaluminum (TMA) present in the commercial aluminoxane. The progressive optimization of the TMA/oligomeric methylaluminoxane ratio increased the productivity, which reached 700 kg of PE/(mol of Ni × h), by an order of magnitude. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Soluble models for dynamics driven by a super-diffusive noise

We explicitly discuss scalar Langevin type of equations where the deterministic part is linear, but where the integrated noise source is a non-linear diffusion process exhibiting superdiffusive behavior. We calculate transient and stationary probabilities and study the possibility of noise induced transitions from a unimodal to a bimodal probability shape. Illustrations from finance and dynamical systems are given.     

电荷量子比特与量子化光场之间的纠缠

研究了初态为混合态的电荷量子比特与量子化光场之间的纠缠.通过求解系统的concurrence下限, 研究初态的混合度λ和失谐量Δ对系统纠缠随时间演化的影响. 在弱场中, 电荷量子比特初始是激发态的系统, 其纠缠度远远大于电荷量子比特初始是基态的系统, 并且Δ对系统的纠缠有明显的抑制作用. 在强场中, 电荷量子比特初始分别为激发态和基态时系统的纠缠演化接近一致, 初态混合度最高时系统的纠缠度最小, 并且Δ对系统纠缠的影响变弱. 关键词： 约瑟夫森结 纠缠 混合态 concurrence下限

On the Equivalence of Multiparameter Gaussian Processes

Our purpose is to characterize the multiparameter Gaussian processes, that is Gaussian sheets, that are equivalent in law to the Brownian sheet and to the fractional Brownian sheet. We survey multiparameter analogues of the Hitsuda, Girsanov and Shepp representations. As an application, we study a special type of stochastic equation with linear noise.      

Design of recursive least-squares fixed-lag smoother using covariance information in linear continuous stochastic systems

This paper newly designs the recursive least-squares (RLS) fixed-lag smoother and filter using the covariance information in linear continuous-time stochastic systems. It is assumed that the signal is observed with additive white observation noise and the signal is uncorrelated with the observation noise. The estimators require the covariance information of the signal and the variance of the observation noise. The auto-covariance function of the signal is expressed in the semi-degenerate kernel form.
