A Fourier-Chebyshev pseudospectral scheme is proposed for three-dimensionalvorticily equation with unilaterally periodic boundary condition. The generalized stability and convergence are analysed. The numerical results are presented.     

Homoclinic solutions in periodic difference equations with saturable nonlinearity

In this paper, a periodic difference equation with saturable nonlinearity is considered. Using the linking theorem in combination with periodic approximations, we establish sufficient conditions on the nonexistence and on the existence of homoclinic solutions. Our results not only solve an open problem proposed by Pankov, but also greatly improve some existing ones even for some special cases.     

Data-sparse approximation to a class of operator-valued functions

In earlier papers we developed a method for the data-sparse approximation of the solution operators for elliptic, parabolic, and hyperbolic PDEs based on the Dunford-Cauchy representation to the operator-valued functions of interest combined with the hierarchical matrix approximation of the operator resolvents. In the present paper, we discuss how these techniques can be applied to approximate a hierarchy of the operator-valued functions generated by an elliptic operator .

     

两个正交子能级的V型三能级系统的粒子数振荡特性

研究了线偏振脉冲光场激发下,半导体量子点中两个正交子能级上的粒子数振荡特性.利用旋转波近似方法给出了共振激发和无衰减时粒子数运动方程的解析解.引入了该系统的等效跃迁偶极矩和等效脉冲面积，并给出了其关系表达式.理论分析表明，该体系中的子能级上粒子数振荡的振幅和频率都可以通过改变激发场的偏振角和系统的初态条件进行调控. 关键词： Rabi振荡 旋转波近似 三能级系统     

光滑粒子动力学方法中粒子分布与数值稳定性分析

光滑粒子动力学(SPH)作为一种拉格朗日型无网格粒子方法,已经成功地应用于包括含多相流动界面以及移动边界的可压缩和不可压缩流体运动的研究中.通过对Poiseuille流动的深入研究,探索了SPH方法中粒子分布对计算精度的影响,揭示了一种因为粒子不规则分布而导致的数值不稳定现象.研究显示,这种数值不稳定性起源于SPH方法粒子近似过程中的不连续性.使用了一种新的粒子近似格式以确保SPH方法中粒子近似的连续性.计算结果表明,这种新的粒子近似格式对于规则和不规则的粒子分布都能得到稳定精度的结果.     

Theoretical studies on the structural, electronic, and optical properties of Ag2HgSnSe4

We investigate the electronic structure of Ag₂HgSnSe₄ in a wurtzite-stannite structure with the first principles method. This crystal is a direct band-gap compound. In addition the dielectric function, absorption coefficient, reflectivity, and energy-loss function are studied using the density functional theory in the generalized gradient approximation. We discuss the optical transitions between the valence bands and the conduction bands in the spectrum of the imaginary part of the dielectric function at length. We also find a very high absorption coefficient and a wide absorption band for this material. The prominent structures in the spectra of reflectivity and the energy-loss function are discussed in detail.     

Be-composition effect on structure, electronic and optical properties of BexZn1-xO alloys

This paper carries out first principles calculation of the structure,electronic and optical properties of Be x Zn 1 x O alloys based on the density-functional theory for the compositions x = 0.0,0.25,0.5,0.75,1.0.The lattice constants deviations of alloys obey Vegard’s law well.The Be x Zn 1 x O alloys have the direct band gap(Γ-Γ) character,and the bowing coefficients are less than the available theoretical values.Moreover,it investigates in detail the optical properties(dielectric functions,absorption spectrum and refractive index) of these ternary mixed crystals.The obtained results agree well with the available theoretical and experimental values.     

The effects of cubic potentials on discrete breathers in a mixed Klein－Gordon /Fermi－Pasta－Ulam chain

Nonlinearity has a crucial impact on the symmetry properties of dynamical systems. This paper studies a one-dimensional mixed Klein--Gordon/Fermi--Pasta--Ulam diatomic chain using the expanded rotating plane-wave approximation and numerical calculations to determine the effect of cubic potentials on the symmetry properties of discrete breathers in this system. The results will be very useful to researchers in the field of numerical calculations on discrete breathers.
