In almost every ecological system, growth of various interacting species evolve in different time scales and the implementation of this time scale difference in the corresponding mathematical model exhibits some rich and complex oscillatory dynamics. In this article, we consider a predator–prey model with Beddington–DeAngelis functional response in which the prey reproduction is affected by the predation induced fear and its carry-over effect. Considering the growth of prey species occurs on a faster time scale than that of predator, the proposed system reduces to a ‘slow–fast predator–prey’ system. Using the geometric singular perturbation theory and asymptotic expansion technique, we investigate the system both analytically and numerically, and observe a wide range of rich and complex dynamics such as canard cycles (with or without head) near the singular Hopf-bifurcation threshold and relaxation oscillation cycles. The system experiences a canard explosion through which a rapid transition from small amplitude limit cycle to large amplitude limit cycle occurs in a tiny parametric interval. These types of complex oscillatory dynamics are absent in non slow–fast systems. Furthermore, it is shown that the interplay between fear and its carry-over effect, and the variation of time scale parameter may lead to a regime shift of the oscillatory dynamics. We also study the impact of fear and its carry-over effect on the properties of long transient dynamics. Thus our study provides some valuable biological insights of a slow–fast predator–prey system which will aid in understanding the interplay between fear and its carry-over effect.  相似文献

An Z2-equivariant polynomial Hamiltonian system of degree 5 with two perturbation terms is considered in this paper. The phase plane (ab) is divided into 15 different regions which give the bifurcation set of the system. Using the bifurcation theory of planar dynamical system and the method of detection function, we obtain the bifurcation set and the configurations of compound eyes of the system with 21 or 23 limit cycles.  相似文献

In this paper, bifurcations of limit cycles at three fine focuses for a class of Z 2-equivariant non-analytic cubic planar differential systems are studied. By a transformation, we first transform nonanalytic systems into analytic systems. Then sufficient and necessary conditions for critical points of the systems being centers are obtained. The fact that there exist 12 small amplitude limit cycles created from the critical points is also proved. Henceforth we give a lower bound of cyclicity of Z 2-equivariant non-analytic cubic differential systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a method of higher-order analysis on bifurcation of small limit cycles around an elementary center of integrable systems under perturbations. This method is equivalent to higher-order Melinikov function approach used for studying bifurcation of limit cycles around a center but simpler. Attention is focused on planar cubic polynomial systems and particularly it is shown that the system studied by ?o?a?dek (1995) [24] can indeed have eleven limit cycles under perturbations at least up to 7th order. Moreover, the pattern of numbers of limit cycles produced near the center is discussed up to 39th-order perturbations, and no more than eleven limit cycles are found.  相似文献

First, we prove that for an abelian variety A with good ordinary reduction over a finite extension of with p an odd prime, the Albanese kernel of A is the direct sum of its maximal divisible subgroup and a torsion group.
