This work is an extension of our earlier article, where a well-known integral representation of the logarithmic function was explored and was accompanied with demonstrations of its usefulness in obtaining compact, easily-calculable, exact formulas for quantities that involve expectations of the logarithm of a positive random variable. Here, in the same spirit, we derive an exact integral representation (in one or two dimensions) of the moment of a nonnegative random variable, or the sum of such independent random variables, where the moment order is a general positive non-integer real (also known as fractional moments). The proposed formula is applied to a variety of examples with an information-theoretic motivation, and it is shown how it facilitates their numerical evaluations. In particular, when applied to the calculation of a moment of the sum of a large number, n, of nonnegative random variables, it is clear that integration over one or two dimensions, as suggested by our proposed integral representation, is significantly easier than the alternative of integrating over n dimensions, as needed in the direct calculation of the desired moment. 相似文献

μ-hadron couplings and predictions of the standard model, the basic question discussed is how far its neutral current predictions
can be mimiced in going either from the isodoublet to an isotriplet (or an even higher isospin) left-handed representation

(2) × U(1) toG × U(1), whereG is a simple group of rank two. This question is addressed with reference to a sufficiently broad class of schemes. Their
most distinctive properties are: in the higher isospin scheme, neutrino couplings are precisely in the form obtainable with
standard l.h. representation; the higher g.g. scheme isL+R type in which, to each light fermion of evenRU parity, a superheavy fermion of the same charge and oddRU parity is associated, parity conservation forbidding their mixing. Reasons for excluding theL-type andG
2 higher g.g. schemes are given. Their neutral current predictions are compared with those of the standard model. A higher
isospin representation can mimic the predictions of the standard model in inclusive and semi-inclusivev

为了减轻图像数据存储负担,实现图像在网络上的快速传输和实时处理,对一种新的压缩传感(CS)理论进行了研究。介绍了压缩传感理论的主要思想和基于压缩传感理论的光学成像系统,给出了一种新型图像重建算法—和谐正交匹配追踪算法,并进行了相应的模拟实验。实验结果显示,该成像机制可同步完成图像的采样与数据压缩,同时可获得良好的图像重建效果。由于该方法所要传输的信号数据量较小,所以十分有利于远距离的图像传输。 相似文献

We construct four linear composite operators for a two-particle
system and give common eigenvectors of those operators. The
technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of
operators is employed to prove that those common eigenvectors are
complete and orthonormal. Therefore, a new two-mode intermediate

entanglement for a two-particle system is proposed and applied to
