This paper addresses a practical liner ship fleet deployment problem with week-dependent container shipment demand and transit time constraint, namely, maximum allowable transit time in container routing between a pair of ports. It first uses the space–time network approach to generate practical container routes subject to the transit time constraints. This paper proceeds to formulate the fleet deployment problem based on the practical container routes generated. In view of the intractability of the formulation, two relaxation models providing lower bounds are built: one requires known container shipment demand at the fleet deployment stage, and the other assumes constant container shipment demand over the planning horizon. An efficient global optimization algorithm is subsequently proposed. Extensive numerical experiments on the shipping data of a global liner shipping company demonstrate the applicability of the proposed model and algorithm. 相似文献

This article is concerned with observer and controller design for networked control systems, where the considered plant refers to a class of discrete‐time communication delay Markovian jump systems. In the study, random packet losses and output quantization are considered simultaneously. The packet losses considered here includes sensor to controller and controller to actuator sides, which are modeled as two Bernoulli distributed white sequences, respectively. An observer‐based control scheme is developed to stabilize the closed‐loop systems. This paper develops a finite time-horizon deterministic EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) model where the rate of demand decreases quadratically with selling price. Prices at different periods are considered as decision variables. The objective is to find the optimal ordering quantity and optimal sales prices that maximizes the vendor’s total profit. The aim of the present paper is to make use of the modern theory of point processes to study optimal solutions for single‐item inventory. Demand for goods is assumed to occur according to a compound Poisson process and production occurs continuously and deterministically between times of demand, such that the inventory evolves according to a Markov process in continuous time. The aim is to propose a way of finding optimal production schemes by minimizing a certain expected loss over some finite period. There are holding/production costs depending on the stock level, and random penalty amounts will occur due to excess demand which is assumed backlogged. Price-dependence is an important characteristic for some inventory problems. This paper proposes a newsvendor model with fuzzy price-dependent demand, and discusses the conditions to determine the optimal pricing and inventory decisions jointly so that the expected profit could be maximized. Then an algorithm combining the method of ranking fuzzy numbers is developed to tackle the problem. Furthermore, comparison is made between the fuzzy model and the deterministic model to study the effect of the uncertain price-dependent demand, and the sensitivity properties of the joint optimal decisions are illustrated through numerical examples. 相似文献
