A three-dimensional finite element method has been implemented to predict the transmission loss of a packed muffler and a parallel baffle silencer for a given frequency range. Iso-parametric quadratic tetrahedral elements have been chosen due to their flexibility and accuracy in modeling geometries with curved surfaces. For accurate physical representation, perforated plates are modeled with complex acoustic impedance while absorption linings are modeled as a bulk media with a complex speed of sound and mean density. Domain decomposition and parallel processing techniques are applied to address the high computational and memory requirements. The comparison of the computationally predicted and the experimentally measured transmission loss shows a good agreement.  相似文献

This paper experimentally and theoretically examines the scattering properties of simulated non-spherical hydrometeors including water oblates, ice oblates and ice sphere-cone-oblates, in terms of the backscattering cross-section and the differential reflectivity. The experimental measurements of the backscattering cross-sections of non-spherical hydrometeor samples were performed in the Electromagnetic Scattering Laboratory of China National Space Industrial Corporation. Meanwhile, the backscattering cross-sections have been computed with the transition (T) matrix method. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental data, showing that the calculations are consistent with the observations in general. Experimental and theoretical analyses indicate that the backscattering cross-section of non-spherical particles increases as the particle size parameter increases, and fluctuates when the sizes are larger under the effect of resonance scattering. Differential reflectivity ZDR of water oblates in natural rainfall is always greater than 0 dB whereas ZDR of hailstones may be negative. There is a good linear relationship between differential reflectivity and aspect ratio of a particle. These derivations agree with the literature and can be used to identify the presence of hail particles and distinguish between plate-type and columnar-type hydrometeors. In this study, the measuring experiment and the T-matrix method calculations for the scattering of simulated raindrop and ice particles are also briefly described.  相似文献

采用新近发展的全势能线性缀加平面波((L)APW) 局域轨道(lo)和广义梯度近似(GGA)密度泛函方法计算了Y(Fe,M)12化合物(M=Nb,Si)的电子结构,得到了相应的总态密度和局域态密度,并分析了替代原子与替代晶位不同引起态密度的变化。根据计算结果预测的居里温度变化与实验结果基本一致。  相似文献

The structure, harmonic frequencies, and nonresonance Raman intensities for porphin, tetraazaporphin (TAP), and three of its isotopomers are calculated by the density-functional theory of B3LYP/6-31G(d). Scaling of force constants for porphin in nonredundant natural coordinates is performed. The scaling factors obtained were used to predict the force field and normal modes of TAP and three of its isotopomers. Two alternative methods are used to carry out reliable assignment of the TAP frequencies: wavenumber-linear scaling method and frequency-shift method. There is good agreement between the frequencies predicted within the framework of the three methods used. The conservativeness of the out-of-plane B 2g - and B 3g -modes for porphin and TAP is examined. The Raman spectrum for TAP is simulated. A refinement of the assignment of the experimental frequencies for TAP of even symmetry types on the basis of the calculations performed is made.  相似文献
