We formulate a series of conjectures (and a few theorems) on the quotient of the polynomial ring in two sets of variables by the ideal generated by all S n invariant polynomials without constant term. The theory of the corresponding ring in a single set of variables X = {x 1, ..., x n} is classical. Introducing the second set of variables leads to a ring about which little is yet understood, but for which there is strong evidence of deep connections with many fundamental results of enumerative combinatorics, as well as with algebraic geometry and Lie theory.  相似文献

The multifractal formalism for singular measures is revisited using the wavelet transform. For Bernoulli invariant measures of some expanding Markov maps, the generalized fractal dimensions are proved to be transition points for the scaling exponents of some partition functions defined from the wavelet transform modulus maxima. The generalization of this formalism to fractal signals is established for the class of distribution functions of these singular invariant measures. It is demonstrated that the Hausdorff dimensionD(h) of the set of singularities of Hölder exponenth can be directly determined from the wavelet transform modulus maxima. The singularity spectrum so obtained is shown to be not disturbed by the presence, in the signal, of a superimposed polynomial behavior of ordern, provided one uses an analyzing wavelet that possesses at leastN>n vanishing moments. However, it is shown that aC behavior generally induces a phase transition in theD(h) singularity spectrum that somewhat masks the weakest singularities. This phase transition actually depends on the numberN of vanishing moments of the analyzing wavelet; its observation is emphasized as a reliable experimental test for the existence of nonsingular behavior in the considered signal. These theoretical results are illustrated with numerical examples. They are likely to be valid for a large class of fractal functions as suggested by recent applications to fractional Brownian motions and turbulent velocity signals.  相似文献

Glass capillaries coated with Chirasil-Val, a chirally functionalised polysiloxane, are capable in principle of resolving all protein amino-acid enantiomers in a single run and within a short analysis time, thus allowing for example the quantitative amino acid determination by enantiomer labelling. The elution characteristics of the individual amino acids however are also dependent upon the chemical nature of the capillary wall surface, and a surface pretreatment is found to be necessary if all protein amino acids are to be analysed. Of the various methods of pretreatment tested, etching of borosilicate glass with gaseous HCl followed by deposition of colloidal silicic acid is considered to be the most suitable.  相似文献

Summary The present paper reports a rapid HPIC method for the determination of tetramethylammonium chloride in aqueous matrices which are used as food simulants in migration tests. These simulants were: bidistilled water, an aqueous solution of 3% acetic acid, an aqueous solution of 15% ethyl alcohol, a mixed aqueous solution of 3% acetic acid and 15% ethyl alcohol. Summary Electrography and paper chromatography were combined to analyse rapidly metallic alloys in an almost non destructive technique. Using anodic dissolution the sample is applied on the start point of the chromatographic paper. Known ketones-HCl-water mixtures are usually used as solvents to analyse electrospots of different alloys and metal coatings and a separate electrospottest is recommended for Cr. Results of qualitative analysis of some steels, Cu–Ni, and Pb alloys are presented.  相似文献

We examine the encoding of chemical structure of organic compounds by Labeled Hydrogen-Filled Graphs (LHFGs). Quantitative Structure-Property Relationships (QSPR) for a representative set of 150 organic molecules have been derived by means of the optimization of correlation weights of local invariants of the LHFGs. We have tested as local invariants Morgan extended connectivity of zero- and first order, numbers of path of length 2 (P2) and valence shells of distance of 2 (S2) associated with each atom in the molecular structure, and the Nearest Neighboring Codes (NNC). The best statistical characteristics for the Gibbs free energy has been obtained for the NNC weighting. Statistical parameters corresponding to this model are the following n = 100, r2 = 0.9974, s = 5.136 kJ/mol, F = 38319 (training set); n = 50, r2 = 0.9990, s = 3.405 kJ/mol, F = 48717 (test set).
