We consider the time discretization for the solution of the equation with . Here, the operators Lj are densely defined positive self‐adjoint linear operator on a Hilbert space H and have spectral decompositions with respect to a common resolution of the identity in H . The kernel functions , are assumed to be completely monotonic on (0,∞) and locally integrable, but not constant. The considered time discretization method comes from [Da Xu, Science China Mathematics 56 (2013), 395–424], where the backward Euler method is combined with order one convolution quadrature for approximating the integral term. In this article, the convergence properties of the time discretization are given in the weighted and norm, where ρ is a given weighted function. The aim of this paper is to show that -limit sets in Lorenz maps do not have to be completely invariant. This highlights unexpected dynamical behavior in these maps, showing gaps existing in the literature. Similar result is obtained for unimodal maps on . On the basis of provided examples, we also present how the performed study on the structure of -limit sets is closely connected with the calculation of the topological entropy. 相似文献

Completely J — positive linear systems of finite order are introduced as a generalization of completely symmetric linear systems. To any completely J — positive linear system of finite order there is associated a defining measure with respect to which the transfer function has a certain integral representation. It is proved that these systems are asymptotically stable. The observability and reachability operators obey a certain duality rule and the number of negative squares of the Hankel operator is estimated. The Hankel operator is bounded if and only if a certain measure associated with the defining measure is of Carleson type. We prove that a real symmetric operator valued function which is analytic outside the unit disk has a realization with a completely J — symmetric linear space which is reachable, observable and parbalanced. New integrable B_2 model with off-diagonal boundary reflections is proposed. The general solutions of the reflection matrix for the B_2 model are obtained by using the fusion technique. Wefind that the reflection matrix has 7 free boundary parameters, which are used to describe the degree of freedom of boundary couplings, without breaking the integrability of the system. The new quantization conditions will induce the novel structure of the energy spectrum and the boundary states. The corresponding boundary effects can be studied based on the results in this paper. Meanwhile, the reflection matrix of high rank models associated with Bnalgebra can also be obtained by using the method suggested in this paper. 相似文献

We present the method of lines (MOL), which is based on the spectral collocation method, to solve space‐fractional advection‐diffusion equations (SFADEs) on a finite domain with variable coefficients. We focus on the cases in which the SFADEs consist of both left‐ and right‐sided fractional derivatives. To do so, we begin by introducing a new set of basis functions with some interesting features. The MOL, together with the spectral collocation method based on the new basis functions, are successfully applied to the SFADEs. Finally, four numerical examples, including benchmark problems and a problem with discontinuous advection and diffusion coefficients, are provided to illustrate the efficiency and exponentially accuracy of the proposed method. 相似文献
