Integrable semiclassical deformations of general algebraic curves and associated conservation laws

Based on the Lenard relations, we completely classify integrable deformations of general algebraic curves. We construct the general solution of the Lenard relation from the invariance condition with respect to an element of the Galois group of the curve. A Liouville type theorem for polyharmonic elliptic systems

In this paper, we consider the polyharmonic system m(−Δ)U=Vq,m(−Δ)V=Up in RN, for m>1, N>2m, with p?1, q?1, but not both equal to 1, where m(−Δ) is the polyharmonic operator. Set α=2m(q+1)/(pq−1), β=2m(p+1)/(pq−1), for α,β∈[(N−2)/2,N−2m), we prove the nonexistence of positive solutions.     

AdS/CFT duality at strong coupling

We study the strong-coupling limit of the AdS/CFT correspondence in the framework of a recently proposed fermionic formulation of the Bethe ansatz equations governing the gauge theory anomalous dimensions. We give examples of states that do not follow the Gubser-Klebanov-Polyakov law at a large ’t Hooft coupling λ, in contrast to recent results on the quantum string Bethe equations that are valid in that regime. This result indicates that the fermionic construction cannot be trusted at large λ, although it remains an efficient tool for computing the weak-coupling expansion of anomalous dimensions. Separation of Variables in the Kovalevskaya–Goryachev–Chaplygin Gyrostat

We construct separation variables for the Kovalevskaya–Goryachev–Chaplygin gyrostat for arbitrary values of the parameters. We show that different separation variables can be constructed for the same integrable system if different integrals of motion are chosen.     

Representations, convolution square roots and spherical vectors

We extend results on square integrable representations of a locally compact group to subrepresentations of a representations induced from a character of a closed subgroup. We do so working in the framework of quotient representations of ∗-algebras.

Liouville theorem and coupling on negatively curved Riemannian manifolds

By using probabilistic approaches, Liouville theorems are proved for a class of Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvatures bounded below by a negative function. Indeed, for these manifolds we prove that all harmonic functions (maps) with certain growth are constant. In particular, the well-known Liouville theorem due to Cheng for sublinear harmonic functions (maps) is generalized. Moreover, our results imply the Brownian coupling property for a class of negatively curved Riemannian manifolds. This leads to a negative answer to a question of Kendall concerning the Brownian coupling property.     

Demonstration of Soliton Solutions of DNLS Equation by Liouville Theorem

In the inverse scattering transform (IST), the reflectionless Jost solutions are combined by their analytic properties in the complex spectrum parameter plane, and then can be shown to satisfy the two Lax equations indeed by Liouville theorem. So the corresponding soliton solutions certainly satisfy the nonlinear equation by compatibility condition. Especially the multi-soliton solutions of DNLS equation can be demonstrated in this way.
