A variational formula for controlled backward stochastic partial differential equations and some application

An optimal control problem for a controlled backward stochastic partial differential equation in the abstract evolution form with a Bolza type performance functional is considered. The control domain is not assumed to be convex, and all coefficients of the system are allowed to be random. A variational formula for the functional in a given control process direction is derived, by the Hamiltonian and associated adjoint system. As an application, a global stochastic maximum principle of Pontraygins type for the optimal controls is established.

广义Pell方程Ax^2-By^2=4的通解公式

主要运用 Lucas 数的奇偶性,讨论了当 A, B 是适合 A〉1,2-AB 且 AB 非平方数的正整数时,广义 Pell 方程的整数解（x, y）,即给出了方程 Ax^2 -By^2=4适合gcd（x, y）=1的整数解（x, y）的通解公式。     

Fast solution of unsymmetric banded Toeplitz systems by means of spectral factorizations and Woodbury's formula

A fast algorithm for solving systems of linear equations with banded Toeplitz matrices is studied. An important step in the algorithm is a novel method for the spectral factorization of the generating function associated with the Toeplitz matrix. The spectral factorization is extracted from the right deflating subspaces corresponding to the eigenvalues inside and outside the open unit disk of a companion matrix pencil constructed from the coefficients of the generating function. The factorization is followed by the Woodbury inversion formula and solution of several banded triangular systems. Stability of the algorithm is discussed and its performance is demonstrated by numerical experiments. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Inequalities for Humbert functions

This paper is motivated by an open problem of Luke’s theorem. We consider the problem of developing a unified point of view on the theory of inequalities of Humbert functions and of their general ratios are obtained. Some particular cases and refinements are given. Finally, we obtain some important results involving inequalities of Bessel and Whittaker’s functions as applications.     

A kinematic formula for integral invariant of degree 4 in real space form

In this paper,kinematic formulae in a real space form are investigated.A kinematic formula for homogeneous polynomial of degree 4 on the second fundamental forms in a real space form is obtained.The formula obtained is a concrete form of the result of Howard and the analogue of the known formula of Chen and Zhou.

Convergence of Yang-Mills-Higgs flow for twist Higgs pairs on Riemann surfaces

We consider the gradient flow of the Yang-Mills-Higgs functional of twist Higgs pairs on a Hermitian vector bundle(E,H)over Riemann surface X.It is already known the gradient flow with initial data(A0,φ0)converges to a critical point(A∞,φ∞).Using a modified Chern-Weil type inequality,we prove that the limiting twist Higgs bundle(E,d′′A∞,φ∞)coincides with the graded twist Higgs bundle defined by the HarderNarasimhan-Seshadri filtration of the initial twist Higgs bundle(E,d′′A0,φ0),generalizing Wilkin’s results for untwist Higgs bundle.     

Numerical inversion of laplace transform via wavelet in partial differential equations

This article presents a rational Haar wavelet operational method for solving the inverse Laplace transform problem and improves inherent errors from irrational Haar wavelet. The approach is thus straightforward, rather simple and suitable for computer programming. We define that P is the operational matrix for integration of the orthogonal Haar wavelet. Simultaneously, simplify the formulae of listing table (Chen et al., Journal of The Franklin Institute 303 (1977), 267–284) to a minimum expression and obtain the optimal operation speed. The local property of Haar wavelet is fully applied to shorten the calculation process in the task. The operational method presented in this article owns the advantages of simpler computation as well as broad application. We still can obtain satisfying solution even under large matrix.
