This paper reports on the results of calculations using a Monte Carlo code (MCNP5) to study the properties of photons, electrons and photoneutrons obtained in the converted target and their transportations in x-ray radiography. A comparison between measurements and calculations for bremsstrahlung and photoneutrons is presented. The radiographic rule and the effect of the collimator on the image are studied with the experimental model. The results provide exact parameters for the optimal design of radiographic layout and shielding systems.  相似文献

We have studied the geometric phase and the sub-Poissonian photon distribution of a generalized N two-level atoms Dicke model in the thermo-dynamical limit and the off-resonant coupling case. It is found that the geometric phase in the ground state is relative to the atom number, the coupling strength between the atom and the light field, the frequency of the electromagnetic wave and the energy difference between two levels of the atom. The photons may exhibit the sub-Poissonian distribution in the ground state.  相似文献

In this paper limiting distribution functions of field and density fluctuations are explicitly and rigorously computed for the different phases of the Bose gas. Several Gaussian and non-Gaussian distribution functions are obtained and the dependence on boundary conditions is explicitly derived. The model under consideration is the free Bose gas subjected to attractive boundary conditions, such boundary conditions yield a gap in the spectrum. The presence of a spectral gap and the method of the coupled thermodynamic limits are the new aspects of this work, leading to new scaling exponents and new fluctuation distribution functions.  相似文献

The goal in this work is to investigate the effectiveness of time-frequency representations for analysing dispersive waves by comparing the performance of three different methods. In particular, the smoothed pseudo-Wigner distribution, the continuous wavelet transform and the Hilbert-Huang transform are compared and evaluated in terms of their ability to analyse dispersive elastic waves. The waves under consideration are transient flexural ones generated by an impact in a beam. In view of the results of the comparative study, the advantages and shortcomings of each method are presented and discussed.  相似文献

We report several results that validate the accuracy of a retrieval method for the determination of a number of aerosol particle properties from their mid infrared (600-6000 cm−1) extinction spectra. These properties include the number density, chemical composition, phase, size distribution, and to some extent, shape. The approach is based on information obtained in laboratory studies of micron-sized particles using the aerosol flow tube (AFT) technique. We report here experiments in which our method is used to measure a variety of aerosols including SiO2 micro-spheres as well as solid NaCl, (NH4)2SO4, ice and liquid water particles. The uncertainties in the retrieved aerosol properties associated with the particle shapes (spheres, spheroids, cylinders, hexagonal and rectangular prisms) as well as the effect of variations in the spectral range were evaluated. To assess the accuracy of the retrieved size distributions and particle shapes, the properties calculated from infrared spectra were compared with corresponding properties determined using alternative methods. We used scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for solid (NH4)2SO4 and NaCl aerosols and direct particle imaging with an optical microscope assembly for liquid water aerosols. On the basis of the validation results, we discuss the boundaries of applicability of the most popular spectral model, single scattering by spherical, homogeneous aerosol particles.  相似文献

Using results for the distribution of perimeters of random polygons arising from random lines in a plane, we obtain new analytic approximations to the distributions of areas and local line densities for random polygons and compute various limiting properties of random polygons. Using simulation, we show that the lengths of adjacent sides of polygons generated by random line processes in the plane are correlated with ρ=0.616±0.001.  相似文献

The modes TE and TM of arbitrarily trapezoidal-groove guide are analyzed by using the mode-matching method. The mode TE11 is the dominant mode of the trapezoidal-groove guide under different conditions. The bandwidth characteristic and the operation condition for the single dominant mode are discussed. The obtained conclusions are of very important significance in theoretical study and practical application of trapeziodal-groove guides for millimeter waves.  相似文献

We quantitatively estimate the effect of spontaneous Raman scattering on a quantum channel wavelength-multiplexed with a classical channel. The D(d,p)T reaction in Be metal environments has been measured to investigate the electron screening effect in metals in an energy region of from 5.5 keV to 10 keV in a center of mass system(CMS)at a temperature of 121 K.The depth distribution of deuteron density in Be metals has an impact on the observed reaction yields.A model of deuteron density distribution in metal has been proposed to obtain the original yields.A screening energy of(116±46)eV has been obtained with the assumed deuteron density distribution model.  相似文献
